SAKSIHAN ANG GAWAD URIAN SA CINEMA ONE NGAYONG SABADO

Sining, aliw at kagalakan ang hatid ng gabi ng pagbibigay pugay sa pinakamagagaling sa larangan ng pelikula. Ang ika-35 na taon ng Gawad Urian ay ginanap noong Miyerkules ng gabi, June 13,2012 sa AFP Theater, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Nagsilbing mga hosts sina Butch Francisco, Angel Aquino, Zoren Legaspi at Venus Raj at sinimulan ang programa sa awitin nina Frenchie Dy at Eric Santos.

Ang magarbong gabi ay dinaluhan ng pinakamalalaking artista. Naghandog naman ng makabayang awitin ang  pinakamagagaling na mang-aawit ng bansa. 

Sa kinalaunan ng gabi naihayag din ng mga presenters at ng mga miyembro ng Manunuri ang mga nagwagi sa Gawad Urian. Dalawa sa pinakamagaling na aktor ng kanilang henerasyon ang nagwagi ng pinaka-aabangang papuri.

 

Tinanggap ni Paulo Avelino ang parangal para sa Pinakamahusay na Pangunahing Aktor para sa pelikulang “Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa” habang tinanggap ni Maja Salvador ang parangal para sa Pinakamahusay na Pangunahing Aktres para sa pelikulang “Thelma”.

Emosyonal nilang tinaggap ang mga papuri at malaki ang kanilang pasasalamat sa gawad. Napaluha si Salvador sa tuwa habang yapos ang kanyang tropeo.

 “Sa mga manunuri, maraming salamat sa pagtitiwala at sa pagkilala sa lahat ng binuhos ko sa Thelma,” ani niya.

Samantalang pinasalamatan naman ni Avelino ang lahat ng may-akda sa mala-tulang pelikulang, “Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa”. “Kung wala po kayo, ay wala rin po ako dito. Marami pong salamat,” ani ng aktor.

Pinakamaraming natanggap na parangal mula sa Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino ang pelikulang “Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa” Nakuha nito ang Best Screenplay (Alvin Yapan), Best Supporting Actress (Jean Garcia), Best Cinematography (Arvin Viola), at Best Music (Christine Muyco at Jema Pamintuan).

Ang mga sumusunod ang nagwagi sa ika-35 na taon ng Gawad Urian:

Ipinagkaloob ang Natatanging Gawad Urian sa cinematographer na si Rody Lacap para sa kanyang mga pelikulang Itim, Batch ’81, Kisapmata, Oro Plata Mata, Misteryo sa Tuwa at iba pa. Binigyan siya ng pugay bilang isa sa mga henyo ng pelikula.

Ang ika-35 na Gawad Urian ay kaakibat ng Cinema One at nang Film Development Council of the Philippines. Ipapalabas ang engradeng awards night sa numero unong cable channel ng bansa. Huwag palampasin ang gabi ng pagpupugay sa Hunyo 16, 2012, 11:00 p.m. na may mga replay sa Hunyo 17, 4:00 p.m. at sa Hunyo 24, 10:00 p.m. sa Cinema One. Available ang Cinema One sa SkyCable Gold, SkyCable Silver at iba pang cable operators. 1.  Contest is open to all Filipino women aged 16-35 years old. There is no limit as to the number of video entries an individual can submit.

 2. The video clip should not be less than 30 seconds short but not more than 1 minute long.

3. Theme for the video: “This Maria Clara Does Not Compromise.” Participants must come up with a video showing her doing a unique activity that demonstrates how she embodies a reinvented Maria Clara.

4.  Upload your video via Youtube and answer the official registration form on the Kotex PH Facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/KotexPH).

 5.  Wait for two (2) email notifications from Kotex PH: (1) a confirmation that your entry was received and (2) a notice that your entry has been posted in our official FB fan page. Only entries posted on the Kotex PH Facebook account shall be considered as official entries.        

 6.  A screening and review committee will view all entries to ensure that the videos conform to the standards of decency and are aligned with the values that Kotex embodies.        

7. Cut-off period for submission of entries shall be at 11:59 pm on the 30^th of June 2012. Finalists will be posted on July 3, 2012.

8.  Criteria for Judging:

a.       Re-invented Maria Clara Factor (40%);

b.       Number of Likes (30%);

c.        Creative Execution and Wow Factor (20%)

d.       Quality of Audio and Video (10%)

The panel of judges will be composed of the Kotex Brand Team.

9.  Contest period is from May 29, 2012 to July 16, 2012. 

 Submission of entries: May 29 – June 30, 2012.

 Voting period : July 3 until July 16, 2012.

10.  Winners and the winning entries will be announced on the Kotex PH Facebook Page.

There will be 3 winners. Each will receive a prize from Kotex PH:
