THE NAIL LAB: Absolute Relaxation at its best

THE NAIL LAB: Absolute Relaxation at its best

Living in such a fast paced environment tends to make us feel tired and withered long before our time. I know inserting a spa appointment on your busy schedule can be difficult, but I tell you, your body needs to relax. Love and pamper yourself from time to time. Heal yourself said my friend Jo. The Nail Lab offers solution to tired souls and wash away problems and fears according to my friend. I was so curious why my friend was raving about this place. So, one Sunday afternoon, my brother and I went to The Nail Lab.

When we entered The Nail Lab, we were welcomed by this white, clean sofa with green throw pillows. Nice choice of colors! Plus, it was nice to know that mommies can bring along their kids when they have themselves pampered at The Nail Lab.

I told the receptionist that I wanted to feel young and rejuvenated again. She suggested for me to try The Nail Lab Signature Body Scrub and Mud Wrap ( Php 1,080) and the Ageloc Galvanic Facial ( Php 840 )

The Nail Lab competent attendant asked me to change inside their clean comfort room, then afterwards, led me upstairs where I entered an ambiance of blissful relaxation.

She then asked me to lie down on a massage table covered with a sheet and a large, thin piece of plastic. As I lay on my stomach, the massage therapist rubs a mixture of sea salt, oil, and aromatics like lavender into my skin. This exfoliates the skin and leaves my skin feeling velvety soft. I felt so refreshed.  I melted in total bliss as calluses were filed down to near nothingness and dead skin cells cowered in fear with my full body scrub session with The Nail Lab. I allowed my body to experience pure relaxation. I experience rest in every part of my body. I felt improvement on my well-being. The exfoliating treatment of the body scrub of sea salt enriched with lavender that was gently applied to restore my skin’s natural glow gave me that much needed me-time.

After the attendant scrubbed my whole body, which takes maybe ten or fifteen minutes, she wash it it all off without soap, leaving a nice coating of oil. It's an invigorating treatment. I really think it was a good idea to have a body scrub at this point. She then applied mud and wrapped my whole body in a thermal blanket, it's a "detoxifying" treatment that stimulates a person's metabolic system, speeding its ability to carry away waste products. Variations can come from the essential oils or scrub materials so asked them what is the best treatment for you.

She then called another attendant to begin my Ageloc Galvanic Facial which effectively smooth-en wrinkles and lines since it boosts the skin’s natural collagen content by stimulating collagen production from the inside, thus effectively firming the skin and reducing lines. Even if you feel that you don’t need a collagen boost just yet, its moisturizing properties have been proven to be very effective for those with chronic dry skin, ensuring that you will not need to even think about anti-aging regiments for a very long time! I love this treatment!

I highly recommend The Nail Lab Signature Body Scrub and Mud Wrap treatment and Ageloc Galvanic Facial. I went home feeling so relaxed, younger, slimmer and whiter. I had one of the most relaxing body scrub at The Nail Lab. I never thought that a body scrub would be so relaxing. For the first time in my life, I gave body scrub a try. And it did not failed me. I had the most Invigorating pampering in years! I think that's The Nail Lab guarantee- absolute relaxation

Living in a world full of stress. We should all find time to relax and decompress. Indulge your body and face at the Nail Lab. RESULTS YOU CAN FEEL!!

Samsung Makes BIG BANG ALIVE

Samsung Makes BIG BANG ALIVE

Earth's richest materials is the inspiration to Samsung Galaxy III and fits the ë¹…ë±… BIG BANG band members personality.

Big Bang is a South Korean male band under the management of YG Entertainment. Formed in 2006, Big Bang has grown to become one of the most successful Asian acts in the world.
The group consists of the following:

  • Tae Yang
  • Dae Sung
  • G-Dragon
  • Seungri
  • T.O.P

Sapphire Black

The black version suggests of the stones used by the ancient people of India and Persia for protection, with the belief they strengthened one's willpower.

Tae Yang has so much willpower so this galaxy III color fits Tae Yang very well.

Titanium gray

Gray, is a symbol for "intelligence, insight, and curiosity," and the new color option brings a "futuristic element" to the handset.

I think the most talented among the Big Bang Members is G-Dragon so Gray fits him well.

Garnet Red

The red model is the color of garnet, which "was worn as an amulet by the ancient Egyptians who believed the stone contained protective powers."

Dae Sung's personality seems to be so protected. So, the Red Galaxy III fits him so well.

Amber Brown

The brown model was inspired by amber, an organic gemstone sometimes containing fossils that "was believed to sustain the secrets of the earth inside it.

For me Seungri is very secretive and very down to earth. So the Samsung Galaxy III color that fits him is the earth color brown. He doesn't have the star complex.

Pink is the color of passion. Pink Evokes Innocence.Pink is the color of universal love. Pink is a quiet color. Lovers of beauty favor pink. A pink carnation means "I will never forget you". Pink looks cool in men. Women loves guys in Pink.

TOP likes the color pink and his room is pink too!  The Samsung Galaxy III color that  fits TOP is the color Pink because he is dynamic and full of optimism. It fits TOP to a T!

Pebble Blue and marble white remains classic.

VIDEO: My Story, Struggling, Bullying, Suicide and Self harm

VIDEO: My Story, Struggling, Bullying, Suicide and Self harm

“No one deserves to be bullied. No one earns it. No one asks for it. It is not a rite of passage."

“Bullying has to stop.”

I feel there is a need to expose Cyberbullies! It is really sad to know, that some people can be so mean.

I hope God touches your heart so you bullies will stop saying bad things about other people. And for the witness out there please don't be a silent witness. Emphatize with the one being talked about. If you know that there was no truth to what they were saying make a stand and defend the person being talked about.

Around supper time last Wednesday, October 10, 2012, Amanda took her own life. The picture below is Amanda Todd, 15 year-old.
Last Wednesday night this beautiful girl committed suicide. I don’t know her. It is very sad to know that her cry for help was not address when she was still alive. After her cry for help when she posted her video on you tube last September 7, 2012 she still got bullied. Some bullies are really sick, and it’s very wrong. No matter how much you tell people to stop bullying, the majority of them won’t...until it’s too late .
To support Amanda, lots of people are going to be wearing hot pink on October 15, 2012.
R.I.P. Amanda you’re in a better place now.  I hope a full investigation will be launch to look into the circumstances that led to this ridiculous bullying.

Here is her story from Vancouver Sun:

A teenager posted a heartbreaking video on YouTube chronicling years of bullying in school and online, cutting and humiliation up until she died this week.

Amanda Todd, 15, posted the video called "My story: Struggling, bullying, suicide, self harm" on Sept. 7 and was found dead in her home town of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, just this week.

Amanda was the victim of unrelenting blackmail. And the cyberspace stalker was aided by people in Amanda’s real-world life — kids who would share the photos on their cellphones, kids who would gang up to hurl first verbal abuse and then fists at her.

"Everything she said in the video happened over the past two years," said Carol (Amanda's Mother). "It was horrendous. I think about it now and I think, Oh my God. How did she survive this long with the pain?"

The end, when it came, was a shock. Despite Amanda's earlier suicide attempts, Carol said in recent days and weeks she was getting much better. She spent time in hospital in September, getting treatment and counselling. Her life was starting to return to normal, which it hadn't been since grade 8. "She felt like a normal teenager, she was so proud of herself," said Carol. "She went out with friends, she went to the mall, she said to me, Mom, this is the first time that I feel normal again. I have had the best day ever."

Carol doesn't know what caused her daughter’s setback, but Amanda may have given Carol an answer in a private video. "She left me a video message on her phone. I'm not ready to look at it yet," said Carol. "The coroner has told me it will provide closure for me but I can’t look at it yet."

Carol doesn't know what happened, but sometime earlier this week — before Amanda killed herself late Wednesday afternoon — something happened to shatter that fragile recovery.

Here is the original video posted by the late Amanda Todd:

I'm struggling to stay in this world, because everything just touches me so deeply. I'm not doing this for attention. I'm doing this to be an inspiration and to show that I can be strong. I did things to myself to make pain go away, because I'd rather hurt myself then someone else. Haters are haters but please don't hate, although im sure I'll get them. I hope I can show you guys that everyone has a story, and everyones future will be bright one day, you just gotta pull through. I'm still here aren't I ?

-AmandaTodd

To all bullies out there, rumormongers, sawsawero, sawsawera, If you want change then be the change that you want.

Don't bully other people.

Don't jump into conclusion.

Don't blog other people as a blind item. Especially if you have not verified your facts! If you have a problem with them tell them directly and resolve the problem. Spreading false rumors won't solve the problem. Plus you are violating one of the ten commandments of GOD- Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

Be good. Spread happiness not sadness.

DARK NIGHT COMIC CREATOR'S GF SUED BY DINDI GALLARDO

DARK NIGHT COMIC CREATOR'S GF SUED BY DINDI GALLARDO

This is dark — even for The Dark Knight. A woman who worked for legendary comic-book writer Frank Miller says she was put through hell by the "Batman" scribe's gal pal.

That’s the subhead of a news item that came out in New York Post. The woman being referred to in the story is Joanna Gallardo-Mills, who happened to be a 1993 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe. She used to go by the screen name Dindi Gallardo. Dindi’s real married name is Joanna Gallardo-Mills. Dindi Gallardo filed a case against the Dark Knight creator and his girlfriend “for hostile work environment.”

Here is the full story as posted by the New York Post:

In a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit, Joanna Gallardo-Mills, 41, says Miller's the "Sin City" creator's girlfriend, Kimberly Cox, smeared her work area with feces, destroyed her printer with a hammer, threw phones at her, and even left a used feminine hygiene pad by her desk. "Nobody should have to work under those conditions," said her lawyer, high-powered employment attorney Matthew Blit.

Gallardo-Mills claims she was canned for complaining about how Cox was treating her. The suit says Gallardo-Mills went to work for Miller — whose 1986 Batman comic series "The Dark Knight Returns" is considered revolutionary — as an executive coordinator in November 2008.

The Philippines native said it wasn't long before there were problems with Cox, Miller's much-younger actress girlfriend. Cox soon made it clear she had issues with Gallardo-Mills, yelling things like, "I can't understand your funky accent. Speak f--king English," the suit says.

The suit notes Gallardo-Mills "has lived in the United States for over 20 years, is fully fluent in English, and only spoke English in her professional capacity" with Miller. Cox yesterday said she was 'shocked' by the suit. "We didn't know this was going forward because she was offered a very heavy settlement and declined," she said.

Gallardo-Mills' work situation went in the toilet In July 2010, when Cox allegedly threw a phone and chair at Gallardo-Mills — and "smeared human feces" on a countertop in her work area in the Hell's Kitchen living/work space that Miller and Cox shared, the suit says.

A year later, Cox went on another rampage, the suit says, scattering all of Gallardo-Mills’ files across the floor and destroying her printer "with a hammer," the suit says. Then, Cox left her filthy underwear and "used menstrual pad" in her work space, the suit says.

After Gallardo-Mills complained, Miller eventually agreed to let her work out of her home to keep her away from Cox. She's seeking unspecified money damages from Miller and Cox for discrimination and "mental anguish."

A representative for Miller did not return a call for comment.

Here are some excerpts from the interview written by Cristina Pastor of The FilAm last May 2012 :

Q. Your boss didn’t know you were an actress?

A. I don’t talk about that. If they know you’re an actress chances are they’re not going to hire you because they’d think you just want to be in this industry. Double life talaga. Well, now he knows.

Q. Ten years in New York. What’s that like?

A. I love New York. I love my job. I can’t get into major details. My boss—he’s pretty big. I’m like his right-hand person. I work with his team of lawyers, agents, accountants. I’ve been with him 3.5 years.

Q. How did you land this current position with this artist?

A. I quit Buchwald to get another job with a bigger production company. But it didn’t happen. I was really upset. Then boom, this job fell on my lap. I didn’t even know who (my future boss) was. We clicked so well. I got promoted two times. We’re about to film a big, big film with a full cast.

Q. Have you experienced being racially discriminated in New York?

A. Oh yes. In one of the companies I worked for, my boss wanted me to work on Thanksgiving and this person said, why should you get a holiday? You don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in the Philippines.

Welcome
