BATMAN MOVIE MASSACRE GUNMAN IS A DOCTORAL STUDENT

A total of 71 people were shot in Friday's rampage at the Denver-area movie theater that has left 12 people dead. The suspect, identified by police as James Eagan Holmes, 24, also booby-trapped his Aurora apartment with sophisticated explosives, creating a hazard for law-enforcement and bomb squad officers who swarmed to the scene.

The suspect in the mass shooting at a Colorado movie theater colored his hair red and told police he was "the Joker".

He had planned this attack well. He entered the sold-out movie theater dressed in black, wearing a ballistic helmet, a tactical ballistic vest, ballistic leggings, protectors over his throat and his groin, a gas mask and black tactical gloves.

The suspected gunman is a doctoral student at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora.

James Eagan Holmes was in the school's doctoral neuroscience program and was in the process of withdrawing at the time of the shooting, university officials said. Holmes had enrolled at the university in June 2011.

As a grad student you have an opportunity to work for the university in the research program for the programs that you're studying.
He worked in the neurosciences program. It is a paid position quips university spokeswoman Jacque Montgomery.

James Eagan Holmes lived in a one-bedroom apartment in a building in Paris Street in Aurora, in Apartment 10, within walking distance of the school. Most of the tenants were primarily other students involved in health studies.

According to Aurora Police Chief Daniel Oates the suspect's sole interaction with the police department was an October 2011 summons for speeding.

A neighbor who had beer with James Eagan last Tuesday described the shooter as nerdish and a book-smart type guy.  He said he can't believe that Eagan is capable of such violence.

James Holmes graduated from Westview High School in 2006. Tom Mai, a neighbor of the Holmes family in San Diego, described Holmes as "clean-cut, quiet, responsible."

In the fall of 2006, he entered the University of California, Riverside, graduating with a B.S. in neuroscience in the spring of 2010. Academically, he was at the top of the top quips Chancellor Timothy P. White.

A Filipino was among those shot by gunman who massacred 12 people & injured many in a movie theater in Colorado.

Warner Bros. canceled the movie's Paris premiere, while New York police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said his officers would watch over screenings of "The Dark Knight" in the city to prevent copycat shootings. AMC Theatres, meanwhile, said it would not permit guests in costumes that make others uncomfortable, nor will it allow face-covering masks or fake weapons.

"Dark Knight Rises" director Christopher Nolan condemns shooting as "savage

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were able to confirm that  two of the guns were purchased at a Bass Pro Shop in Denver, while the two others were bought at separate Gander Mountain Guns outlets in the area. Investigators also found a drum magazine, capable of carrying 100 rounds of ammunition, which was attached to the AR-15 rifle.

12 Killed In Mass Cinema Shooting at BATMAN MOVIE in America

I can't fathom what triggered the act of the lonesome shooter who opened fire to the people watching the latest Batman movie in a cinema in the state of Colorado.

Condolence to the family and friends of the 12 people who were killed after a gunman opened fire at a crowded premiere of the new Batman movie in the US state of Colorado early Friday.

At least another 59 was wounded at Century 16 theater at Aurora Mall where as many as 12 people were killed.

A large audience was watching the debut of the new action adventure film based on the popular Batman comic book character, at a movie theater in the Denver suburb of Aurora. Police Chief Dan Oates says a man appeared in the front of the theater and released a device filled with gas, then began opening fire on the crowd.

Aurora Police Chief Daniel Oates talks to media at Aurora Mall where as many as 12 people were killed and many injured at a shooting at the Century 16 movie theater, in Aurora, Colorado, July 20, 2012 Denver suburb of Aurora where the shooting took place.

Police officers who responded at the scene, found the gunman in the parking lot in a car outside the back of the theater in possession of a gas mask, and at least a rifle and a handgun. At least one additional weapon was found inside.

Following a chaotic scenes police was able to arrest the alleged gunman, a man in his early 20's at a midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises.

This is very tragic. Ayaw ko na nga manood :-( Baka gayahin ng ibang pinoy dito.

NRCE 2012:Taking Customer Experience to New Heights

What: 21st National Retail Conference
When: August 9, 10, 2012
Where: SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City

Oh, la la! Good News to all entrepreneurs! The Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) highlights why shopping is more fun in the Philippines during its 21st National Retail Conference (NRCE) and Stores Asia Expo.

This 2-day conference and exhibit is usually attended by over 800 retail owners, suppliers, CEOs, and top level executives.

For this year, NRCE invites experts from the retail industry and other related sectors to cover relevant aspects of retailing.

NRCE, the country's biggest retail industry event, joined forces with the government's  It's More Fun in the Philippines campaign, as it invites tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez to speak on the campaign's synergy with retail industry growth and more fun shopping experience.

Adding to the prestige of the event is Coca Cola’s President and CEO William Schultz who will be the keynote speaker on the opening day of the conference. Coca Cola, which celebrates its centennial year this year is among the well-loved brands in the Philippines. Coca Cola’s participation in this year’s NRCE is expected to further elevate the “fun” aspect of the conference as the brand celebrates “100 Year of Happiness”.

This year’s NRCE highlights are strategies for driving growth and customer engagement.

The topic that interest me the most in this upcoming NRCE 2012 Conference Program is Harnessing the Power of Digital Marketing and Online Commerce for Retail Growth. As everyone knows we are in the Digital Age. Most of my peers don't buy newspaper or watch TV anymore.  My friends read the news online and watch you tube instead. They always sign in and read news feeds from their Facebook walls.

This could only mean one thing. Establishments in order to keep up with the times must put up an online presence.

Nowadays, it is common to find establishments with a fan page at Facebook. You are not "in" if you don't have fan page or a domain which will make your store's online presence stronger.

There's plenty of room for improvements in the retail sector in the Philippines. In the future, I would be thrilled to see and use the innovative NFC( Near-Field Communication) card to pay for food and transportation purchases. I like how fast and easy the retail transaction using NFC cards like the card that was introduced to the market by a fast food chain, very similar to Hong Kong's Octopus Card, and the Top Up Card of Singapore. A customer just need to tap their cards and voila, the transaction was done already.

So don't be left behind! Harness the power of Digital Media today!

NORTH BOUND BUSES NOW ALLOWED AT ORTIGAS FLYOVER

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino on Thursday issued a memorandum circular outlining changes to the current yellow lane only policy for buses on Edsa, which they expect to have a significant impact immediately.

Under Memorandum Circular 8, Series of 2012, which took effect immediately Thursday afternoon, the MMDA allowed both provincial and city buses to pass through the Ortigas flyover if they are going northbound, aside from the Magallanes Interchange, which they are allowed to use whether they are going northbound or southbound.

However, all provincial and city buses are still not allowed to use tunnels and underpasses along Edsa.

The memorandum circular was issued after the MMDA’s consultation with some 50 bus operators on Wednesday, where they gave feedback and suggestions to the agency’s strict yellow lane policy, which caused heavy traffic on Edsa on Monday.

Provincial buses have also been allowed to travel on the third lane of EDSA immediately after the two yellow lanes, and they were also given the green light to traverse all flyovers along the 24-kilometer stretch of the highway.

On the other hand, city buses will still have to stick with yellow lanes along EDSA, but they can use the Ortigas flyover when going northbound.

The memorandum circular also reiterated previous policies, such as that both city and provincial buses should only load and unload passengers in their respective designated terminals and bus stops along the highway.

Buses should also stack themselves snugly while inside the loading and unloading bays, and should follow the Bus A/Bus B systems in loading stations. It also clarified that city buses can load and unload in these stations for only 25 seconds.

The MMDA also revived the strict implementation of its closed-door policy for buses, which means that buses, both city and provincial, must keep their doors closed except when inside loading and unloading stations.

Jessica Sanchez is the new World Idol

Phillip Phillips may have won the title " American Idol" but for a lot of people Jessica Sanchez is the new World Idol! #IdolFinale

In terms of technical ability, Jessica can wipe the floor with Phillip Philips. But the true winner is AT &T and the producer of the show :-D.

The American Idol Finale was held at Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles in front of 7,000 screaming fans. It was telecast live to the East Coast and the Midwest viewed by millions of people all over the world. They equipped the event with a jumbo projection screens plastered on either side of the stage. The crowd assembled at the theater are mostly excited parents and their very small children. There were few posters, far fewer than in past finales, and there weren’t any crazy tributes to any one contestant. Unlike last year where there were huge, blow-up balloons spelling S-C-O-T-T-Y in the audience. This year, there's no such extravagance.

Cory appeared to the tune of LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” which got the crowd moving. He yelled at the crowd: “If you’re ready to party, say yeah! Cory dragged various members of the crowd up to the center stage. It was a dream come true for the fans because they were able to shake their booties and had a few minutes of fame.

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg ties the knot

PALO ALTO, California — Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg updated his status to "married" on Saturday. Zuckerberg and 27-year-old Priscilla Chan tied the knot at a small ceremony at his Palo Alto, Calif., home, capping a busy week for the couple.

Zuckerberg took his company public in one of the most anticipated stock offerings in Wall Street history Friday. And Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, on Monday, the same day Zuckerberg turned 28.

The couple met at Harvard and have been together for more than nine years. A source authorized by the couple to speak said Zuckerberg designed the ring featuring "a very simple ruby." The ceremony took place in Zuckerberg's backyard before fewer than 100 guests, who all thought they were there to celebrate Chan's graduation.

Even after the IPO, Zuckerberg remains Facebook's single largest shareholder, with 503.6 million shares. And he controls the company with 56 percent of its voting stock.

The site, which was born in a dorm room eight years ago, has grown into a worldwide network of almost a billion people. Zuckerberg founded Facebook at Harvard in 2004. He was named as Time's Person of the Year in 2010, at age 26. Zuckerberg grew up in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.

CCTV Video of Filipina Rape Victim with the Panamanian Diplomat

A closed-circuit television Video of the Panamanian diplomat accused of raping a 19-year-old Filipina, and the alleged Filipina Rape Victim's CCTV video is making the rounds on the internet.
The CCTV was allegedly taken inside the Panamanian Makati apartment. The Panamanian Diplomat has denied the allegations in a press statement. Erick Shcks, a technical officer of the Panama Maritime Authority, said he engaged in sexual intercourse with the complainant "Pamela" (not her real name) last April 23 but stressed that the act was consensual. Shcks dispelled allegations that he drugged the Pinay teen and forced her to have sex with him.

Shcks left the country last May 11, 2012 and was declared persona non grata by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). Shcks’s departure drew the ire of Senators Loren Legarda and Vicente Sotto III, who believed that the Panamanian rape suspect should not have been allowed to go scot-free. The DOJ said that Schks may be tried for the alleged rape once the Panamanian government waives his diplomatic immunity.

A third person Complete Account of the Airport Brawl involving Claudine Barreto, Raymart Santiago and Ramon "Mon" Tulfo

"Anna" a woman who claims to have witnessed the Sunday airport brawl involving columnist Ramon 'Mon' Tulfo and celebrity-couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto is corroborating the claims of the actors that Tulfo had kicked Barretto in the moments just prior to the melee.

The woman, who had also arrived at the airport's Terminal 3 within the same hour as Tulfo and Santiago and Barretto, said she was within 20 meters and "hearing distance" of the three personalities last Sunday when the fight - captured and made infamous by a video posted on YouTube - erupted. By the woman's estimate, up to 100 other people - airport workers as well as mostly passengers from various flights standing around baggage carousels - also witnessed the incident.

"We saw this woman ranting at these personnel over what I presumed was lost baggage," the alleged witness going by the pseudonym "Anna" told InterAksyon.com over a phone interview. "But what really made me turn and take notice was when she started addressing this man in a photographer's jacket."

Anna says she did not recognize Barretto, her husband, Raymart, nor Tulfo, and did not realize who they were until she got home and some hours later saw news reports and the YouTube video of what transpired next.

"The woman started shouting, 'Abusado yan!' and 'Are you taking photographs of us?'" She said she saw "the man in the gray shirt" - apparently referring to Santiago - approach "the man in the photographer's jacket" - Tulfo - asking, "Ano 'yan? Ano 'yan?"

Tulfo, she said, started making "fast" movements, "not really punches the way a boxer would do, but more like kung fu moves." He jabbed and "pushed with a kick" - a hand and a foot moving forward simultaneously - apparently trying to create space and ward off the approaching Santiago. Tulfo has acknowledged shoving Santiago, saying the actor was trying to confiscate his cellphone. "Sinapak niya," Anna said, though she could not say exactly where Santiago was hit.

Claudine then started approaching as well, Anna said. Tulfo again moved with his arms and legs, while Claudine was shouting, "What are you doing?" the witness said. "Tumili si Claudine, and at this point, security was rushing," Anna said. She then noticed how Tulfo hid his phone in a breast pocket, and, with empty hands waving the air, "mocked" Claudine. "Wala, wala akong cellphone," Anna quoted Tulfo.

At this point, Anna said, "we had thought that the whole thing was about this dirty old tourist who was taking pictures of this lady. And so we were actually trying to support her." She admits she wasn't aware of Tulfo's own claimed context behind Sunday's confrontation. The Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist, radio commentator and TV5 talent says he was taking pictures to document Barretto's behaviour towards the Cebu Pacific ground crew, which he suggested had gone from being rude to being abusive.

In any case, Anna said, they could only make out how Tulfo had hidden his phone and was denying he even had one on his person. "Nasa bulsa ang cellphone! Nasa bulsa ang cellphone!" Anna said. Santiago and Barretto supposedly asked aloud if there were any policemen or security personnel who could compel Tulfo to give up his cellphone. Anna quotes Barretto as saying, "Hanapin niyo ang cellphone. Pakita niyo sa akin." Within arm's length, supposedly, of Tulfo, she was egging on security personnel to get Tulfo's phone, ostensibly to verify whether or not he had taken pictures of Barretto.

Then, Anna said, "We saw him assault Claudine." She said Tulfo "pushed and kicked" again. "Natamaan si Claudine. I can't say where exactly, but sa may thigh area," she said. That, Anna said, is what caused Santiago and his companions to pounce on Tulfo. "The video that we saw and that everybody has seen, that was the end of the whole thing na." She insists that Tulfo's account of the incident, as she's seen in the news, "is not correct."

Meanwhile, In her sworn affidavit, airport security guard Eden Modejas said she saw Barretto berating Cebu Pacific ground staff Cid Charisse Bocboc and Kristine Anne Ilagan. Modejas said Barretto was shouting at the 2 Cebu Pacific personnel, catching the attention of airport staff and other passengers.

Modejas said it was during Barretto's tirade that she noticed a commotion about five meters from where she was standing. She used her two-way radio to call for back up because Barretto’s husband, Raymart Santiago, was attacking a male passenger despite the presence of other security guards pacifying the scuffle.

Modejas did not mention anything about Tulfo allegedly kicking or shoving Barretto. Santiago earlier said he attacked Tulfo when he saw the veteran journalist kick and shove his wife. Meanwhile, Bocboc and Ilagan, in their handwritten statement submitted to airport police, said that Barretto was fuming mad and was demanding for an explanation for their missing luggage.

They said the actress wanted to get the name of the Caticlan manager as to who offloaded their luggage. Bocboc said Barretto did not want to listen to their explanation on why her luggage was offloaded. They said Barretto demanded a round-trip ticket in exchange for the delay of her bags. Bocboc and Ilagan said they were talking to Barretto in front of the passenger assistance counter when they noticed Santiago assaulting a male passenger. The two (2)airline staff made no mention of Tulfo allegedly kicking or shoving Barretto while they were at the passenger assistance counter.

Airport sources said this is not the first time that Claudine figured in a “drama” at the airport. Two years ago, when she and Raymart Santiago missed their Los Angeles flight because they came late and the counter was already closed, Claudine allegedly confronted one of the supervisors and told him “baka gusto mong mawalan ng trabaho kung di mo kami pasasakayin, isang tawag lang iyan.” The supervisor called the gate and asked the pilot to spare a few minutes before pushing back from the tube to accommodate the showbiz couple.

Teddy Locsin Jr vs. Akbayan Party on Twitter

  • Akbayan Party: Gil Puyat Ave. effectively occupied by Filipinos protesting China's bullying.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Kill all Akbayan members if Chinese mobs retaliate against Pinoys in China.
  • Inquirer Group: Loida Lewis to China: ‘You’re shameless’
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Go to Beijing and say that there.
  • Rappler: For years Filipino and Chinese fishermen peacefully shared the rich harvests around Scarborough Shoal -until now
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Years? Those effings were taking our fish for years? Who let them? Governors of what provinces? How would China like it if for years Filipino farmers were farming peacefully in Hunan and sharing rich harvests? What kind of nambypamby, artsyfartsy, nancypansy crud is that? Is everybody turn sissy here?
  • Rappler: China angry at PH for rally that ended in singing & dancing.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: This time China right. This is diplomatic or war thing not a nancy pansy thing on the streets esp by leftsits.
  • Gerry Alanguilan: Huge and powerful, if China goes to war with us, we will lose. I have no illusions. If they get that shoal, I hope they choke on it.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: That is poor consolation, I hope they choke on it. They won't because they will not eat it, they will drill and fish it.
  • Akbayan Party: Filipinos all around the world are standing up against China's bullying & you want them dead? Real classy, Teddy.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Yes, that is the trigger for the PH-US Mutual Defense Pact you sissies.
  • Akbayan Party: How stupid can you get wanting Filipinos killed for exercising their right to protest?
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: That right is idiotic when it endangers Filipinos abroad, Akbayan known for its physical cowardice unlike Bayan Muna.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: You really don't care what happens to any of our people in China but your sissy selves. Great. I hope you die. You are stupid not 2 see the reckless endangerment to our countrymen in Hong Kong and China by throwing this to mob
  • Akbayan Party: What a statement from a former lawmaker. You also want all those who attended the Makati rally killed like Winnie Monsod?
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Yeah none of you ever qualified as real lawmakers, you fake partylisters representing no constituency.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Don't you dare lecture me on behavior. If any Filipino hurt in China by mobs, you must be hurt here.
  • Akbayan Party: And don't you dare threaten people killed just because they exercised their right to protest.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: I dare. Filipino couple butchered when mistaken for Japanese because of Chinese mob fury. I have friends in China you shit.
  • Akbayan Party: Akbayan lawmakers are nothing like you. They don't threaten to kill people for exercising their right to protest.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: @AkbayanParty They don't care enough about country and people hostage abroad to the fury of mobs. You have the right but not the sense.
  • Adrian Baccay: once a respected journalist and lawmaker, wants me dead for taking a stand on the #PanatagShoal issue. (Who's coward now?)
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Once a respected? I have more of that than all of you put together then reincarnated a million times.
  • Gibby Gorres: You do think too highly of yourself, too highly for someone who cowers in front of China.
  • Aaron Rom Moralina: You're so full of yourself, Teddy Boy. You've hit gutter level buddy.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: No room in the gutter, you are all there putting our countrymen in China at risk.
  • Emman Hizon: kill all Akbayan members? So that includes your freemason brothers who are members of the organization?
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: What are you an idiot to make an argument like that? O I forgot you are Akbayan, the fake Bayan Muna.
  • Emman Hizon: As far as I know you're the "idiot" here. Threatening people killed just because they exercised their right to protest.
  • Josel Gonzales: If @teddyboylocsin wants to kill all Akbayan members, he is welcome to start with me #ampatuanngmakati
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: I will remember that when the first Pinoy is killed in China.
  • Alvin Quintans: No person with sound mind would wish fellows be killed for defending sovereignty. yu agree, @teddyboylocsin?
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Yes, defending sovereignty sensibly. PNoy whatever you think of him is doing that, do not fuck up his diplomacy.
  • Charle Angel Vergara: Ex-Congressman for very obvious reasons. Wishing ill on fellow Pinoys is characteristically teddy locsin
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: I finished 3 terms with landslide victories and distinguished record not like useless Akbayans without any distinction.
  • Gibby Gorres: You are born out of patronage politics. Not surprising why your patronage to China is showing.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Are you an idiot? Think of what you just said.
  • Charle Angel Vergara: yeah yeah with the help of course of kind political patrons. Kudos for being somebody else's political peon.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Hello low born moron.
  • Charle Angel Vergara: hello Mr. Failure.
  • Arnold Taroogs-Villa: asking for akbayan people to be killed just for exercising their right to be heard?! do his makati D1 constituents agree?
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: I would think so, they voted me in 3 times by landslide and I had stronger opinions before.
  • Leloy Claudio: u supported the Iraq war right? did u ever threaten george bush 4 making americans prone to terror attacks in the mid east?
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Bush's policy of kill us and we kill you all, men women and children stopped all attacks on the US, worked right?
  • Leloy Claudio: u seems to advocate 4 a measured response to china. a tad hypocritical to overkill when it comes to akbayan?
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Not measured. Keep our boats there, leave fishermen alone, ram Chinese military vessels if uppity, get sunk—7th fleet or not.
  • Stella Boccados: Jeez I just lost respect for teddy boy, wait, I never had any....
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Of course, you are not smart enough to read me.
  • Arnold Taroogs-Villa: what laws have you passed protecting OFW rights @teddyboylocsin? are you really protecting OFW rights or something else, teddy?
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Dual citzenship, overseas voting. I am so talented I can't stand it.
  • Jonas Bagas: A grand act of servility. That's what @teddyboylocsin is doing right now.
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Of course, servility to the best interest of our nation and our people in China.
  • Teddy Locsin: They burned Chinese flag? Uh oh. Well in aid of Risa's election but burning flag is a no no, they might burn a Pinoy in China
  • Maan Pamintuan: Wonder what the issue between @teddyboylocsin and @AnakbayanParty is.. #politics
  • Teddy Locsin Jr.: Nothing worthwhile, just the lives of Pinoys in China, cannon fodder for Risa's election.
  • Clinton Balud: I think I get d point of @teddyboylocsin. He said dat if Chinese will threaten Fils in China after the protest staged by @AkbayanParty

NO MORE LINING UP TO PAY TERMINAL FEES AT THE AIRPORT

Good News to all airline passengers! Starting August, 2012, passengers will no longer endure the long queue at the airport to pay terminal fees.  That's because starting August, all airport terminal fees will be charged already when you  book your domestic flights as agreed upon by the government and airline companies.

This means that senior citizens, overseas Filipino workers, and others who are exempted from paying the terminal fees will have to comply with the new system and pay the terminal fees in their plane ticket then get a refund later.

Instead of having all passengers line up to pay terminal fees, only those who are entitled to refund will line up for their reimbursements.

I believe that our brothers and sisters who are deaf should have equal chances with everyone and a public Video Relay Service (VRS) will help them a lot.

At least seven men, including actor Raymart Santiago and actress Claudine Barreto, ganged up on veteran TV host and Inquirer columnist Ramon "Mon" Tulfo , Sunday, May 6, 2012, at around eleven o' clock in the morning at NAIA3 Baggage Claim area..

The brawling incident occurred when Ramon "Mon" Tulfo took photos of Raymart Santiago’s wife, actress Claudine Baretto, “berating” a ground steward over a mishandled luggage.

Ramon "Mon" Tulfo said he arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 from Davao via a Cebu Pacific flight when he noticed a woman giving a ground staff of the budget airline a vicious dressing down.

Before the beating he received, Ramon "Mon" Tulfo's attention was caught by the ground stewardess who was on the verge of tears.

He said he initially sympathized with the woman after learning from onlookers she had been complaining of “an offloaded luggage,” which has been a subject of critical columns he wrote before. He did not recognize the woman as Claudine Baretto until he walked toward the airline’s complaints desk.

Tulfo pulled out his mobile phone and took photos of the scene, which he said would form part of a future column he intended to write, when a man from the actress’ group approached him.
The man, whom he later recognized as Baretto’s husband, Raymart Santiago, “demanded to get my phone which I used in taking shots,” the columnist said, adding he refused to surrender his phone.

Santiago continued to force Tulfo to give his phone to the actor when the latter’s companions came to his side, according to the columnist. Tulfo said he could not recall who threw the first punch because he was ganged up on.

He said he was hit at his blindside as the punches kept coming.

While trying to fight his way out, Tulfo said Baretto, who was nearby, repeatedly cursed him. He admitted that he might have hit the woman with a kick as he tried to fight back at his aggressors.
“This is the real persona of an actress who is always portrayed (in the movies) as a martyr,” he continued, as he pitied the ground staff of Cebu Pacific whom Baretto allegedly berated.
Tulfo said Baretto continued “cussing” him when they met for the second time at the airport police station. “I could only give her a smile as she fumed at me.”

At the same time, Tulfo denounced the NAIA security personnel and the airport police for failing to restrain Baretto’s party as they were restoring order in the area.

He said he already submitted himself to the authorities when they arrived and as they were sorting things out, “somebody lunged behind me and grabbed me by the neck.” The choking lasted a couple of seconds, and Tulfo said he could have passed out if it happened a few moments longer.

The police were preparing the paperwork for the charges Tulfo would be filing against the Santiago couple.                                                                                                                Source: Inquirer
