CHANNEL 5 OFFICIAL STATEMENT

I remember when I was pretty new at the blogging event scene, that it was TV 5 ( Kapatid channel) who offered us bloggers, monetary consideration in exchange for our blog coverage service. That was a welcome change from our Pro Bono coverages for other channels. The Kapatid channel truly understand that we bloggers were shelling out our own money for taxi fares and paying for our own digital cameras, internet and cellphone loads and even new SD cards. The  Kapatid channel has always been fair to everyone.  I hope Kapamilya and Kapatid channels will settle this issue amicably.

New Digital PWD ID to Combat Tax Leaks and Ensure Authenticity

Good news to legit businesses. Finally,  the Philippines is rolling out a new national ID for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), aiming to eliminate an estimated PHP88.2 billion tax leak from 2023. This digital ID, coupled with an e-verifier system, will ensure the authenticity of PWDs, making it almost 100% certain that the cardholder is genuinely disabled.

How it Works:

* Strict Medical Validation: To get the ID, applicants need to submit valid disability documents.

* Visible disabilities might only need an in-person check.

* Non-visible conditions (like mental or psychosocial disabilities) require certification from licensed specialists.

* The Department of Health (DOH) will release updated disability categories and a list of authorized certifying experts.

* Fully Digital Registration: While the process is online, PWDs who need help can go to their local Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) desks.

* Pilot Program: The new system is being piloted in 35 locations.
The latest update from the NCDA confirmed that pilot testing will officially begin this July 2025 in 35 local government units (LGUs) nationwide.

Where is the Unified PWD ID System being pilot tested?

Here are the areas included for pilot run:

  • Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao: Parang, Maguindanao
  • Region I Ilocos Region: Dagupan City, San Carlos City, Urdaneta City, and Alaminos City (Pangasinan)
  • Region II Cagayan Valley: Solano, Nueva Vizcaya
  • Region III Central Luzon: Multiple Cities and Municipalities in Bulacan such as San Rafael, Baliwag, Malolos, San Jose Del Monte, Guiguinto, San Miguel, Bocaue, Santa Maria, Pandi, Marilao, Balagtas, and Meycauayan
  • Region IV-A Calabarzon: Cainta, San Mateo, Teresa, and Antipolo City (Rizal); Carmona (Cavite); Pila and City of Santa Rosa (Laguna)
  • Region V Bicol Region: Daet, Camarines Norte
  • Region VI Western Visayas: Kalibo, Aklan
  • Region VII Central Visayas: Candijay, Bohol
  • Region X Northern Mindanao: Malaybalay, Bukidnon
  • Region XII SOCCSKSARGEN: Koronadal City and Surallah, South Cotabato
  • National Capital Region: Pasay City and Muntinlupa City

  • The new system aims to crack down on the misuse of fake IDs and guarantee that these benefits reach their rightful recipients. At its core, the system will create a centralized national database and streamline the issuance of PWD IDs under a single design and authority.

TAIWAN: Extends Visa-Free Privileges For Filipinos Until 2026

Your Taiwan Adventure Just Got Longer! Visa-Free Privileges for Filipinos Extended Until 2026

Great news for all Filipino travel enthusiasts and those looking to explore the vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and delicious cuisine of Taiwan! Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung, during the recent Philippine Independence Day Event in Taipei, officially announced the extension of visa-free privileges for Filipinos until 2026. This is a fantastic development that promises more seamless and accessible travel between our two nations.

This extension means that Filipino ordinary passport holders can continue to enjoy visa-free entry to Taiwan for short stays of up to 14 days. The current visa-free policy was set to expire on July 31, 2025, but with this timely announcement, it will now be valid from August 1, 2025, until July 31, 2026. This provides a full additional year for Filipinos to plan their Taiwanese getaways without the hassle of a visa application.

Minister Lin Chia-lung emphasized that this decision is a testament to Taiwan's commitment to deepening bilateral ties with the Philippines. He highlighted the Philippines as a crucial partner under Taiwan's New Southbound Policy, underscoring the shared values of freedom and democracy, and the importance of working together for regional peace and prosperity. Indeed, the Philippines has become Taiwan's largest source of tourists from Southeast Asia and ranks fifth globally.

This move isn't just about tourism; it also aims to lay the groundwork for a stronger Taiwan-Philippines Economic Corridor. It is expected to drive cooperation in vital areas such as agriculture, technology, energy, smart solutions, and economic resilience, fostering greater exchange and mutual growth.

For those eager to pack their bags, remember the key requirements: a passport with at least six months of validity from your entry date, and a confirmed return air/sea ticket or a ticket with a visa for your next destination. This extension is specifically for ordinary passport holders, excluding diplomatic, official, or service passports.

This continued visa-free access is a wonderful opportunity for Filipinos to discover more of what Taiwan has to offer – from the bustling night markets of Taipei to the serene beauty of Sun Moon Lake, the historical charm of Tainan, or the breathtaking gorges of Taroko National Park.

So, if you've been dreaming of a trip to Taiwan, now's the perfect time to start planning! The land of stunning mountains, modern cities, and rich cultural experiences awaits, and with visa-free travel extended, your adventure is just a flight away.

    Deceitful Recruitment Drive

An Open Letter to the Insurance Commission, the Regulating Body of HMO's

I am writing to express serious concerns regarding potentially deceitful recruitment drives conducted by unscrupulous individuals.
These individuals are allegedly using Facebook advertisements to entice people into submitting their personal profiles and other sensitive information. This is done under the false pretense of offering a "free" opportunity to become an agent for a major HMO company.

What is particularly alarming about this alleged deceptive recruitment drive is the subsequent demand for access to personal bank accounts once an individual's personal information has been submitted. This level of access, if it falls into the wrong hands, could be used to exploit or harm unsuspecting individuals.

Furthermore, applicants are not only asked to upload their personal information via Google Drive but also required to send a screenshot as proof to the recruiting agent. Following this, applicants are supposedly lined up for an interview, only to be told they must pay PHP1,000, with the grand promise of earning millions.

I urge the Insurance Commission to investigate these allegations thoroughly and take appropriate action to protect the public from such predatory practices.

Urgent Appeal for Regulation of Loudspeaker Broadcasts During Election Campaigns

AN OPEN LETTER TO COMELEC: Urgent Appeal for Regulation of Loudspeaker Broadcasts During Election Campaigns

To the Honorable Commission on Elections (COMELEC),

I respectfully appeal to the Commission to urgently establish clear and enforceable guidelines regarding the permissible volume of loudspeaker broadcasts for candidate jingles and campaign materials. The current lack of regulation has resulted in an alarming escalation of noise pollution, causing significant discomfort and distress to residents across our communities.

The excessive and often unregulated volume of these broadcasts is not merely an inconvenience; it constitutes a serious disruption to our daily lives. In many cases, it leads to:

     * Widespread Discomfort: The constant barrage of loud jingles creates a disruptive environment, hindering concentration, rest, and peaceful enjoyment of our homes. They sometimes starts their noise bombarding brigade as early as 5:42 a.m. here in our province.

     * Adverse Health Impacts: As in my own experience, prolonged exposure to excessive noise can lead to literal ear pain, headaches, and other health issues. This is particularly concerning for vulnerable populations, including the elderly, children, and those with pre-existing health conditions.

     * Diminished Quality of Life: The unrelenting noise pollution significantly degrades the quality of life in our communities, fostering stress and frustration among residents.

     * Violation of Noise Ordinances: In many areas, the current volume of these broadcasts likely exceeds existing local noise ordinances, highlighting the need for clear and consistent national guidelines.

I understand the importance of political campaigns and the need for candidates to reach their constituents. However, this must be balanced with the fundamental right of citizens to a peaceful and healthy living environment.

Therefore, I implore the COMELEC to:

     * Establish Clear and Measurable Volume Limits: Implement specific decibel limits for loudspeaker broadcasts, ensuring consistency across all regions.

     * Enforce Regulations Stringently: Develop effective mechanisms for monitoring and enforcing these guidelines, with clear penalties for violations.

     * Consider Time and Location Restrictions: Implement time restrictions for broadcasts and designate appropriate zones for their use, minimizing disruption to residential areas.

     * Promote Alternative Campaign Methods: Encourage candidates to utilize alternative, less disruptive campaign strategies, such as social media, community forums, and printed materials.

     * Publicly release the guidelines: Make the guidelines easily accessible to the public, so that all citizens are aware of the regulations.

By taking decisive action on this matter, the COMELEC will demonstrate its commitment to ensuring fair and equitable elections while safeguarding the well-being of all Filipinos.  I trust that the Commission will address this urgent issue with the seriousness it deserves.

I'll await your prompt and favorable response.

    Truly yours,

    Cha Sy

WARNING ⚠️ BDO FIND WAYS TO DEPLETE ALL YOUR SAVINGS

I couldn't Believe that I will fall prey to BDO'S UNJUST WAYS TO DEPLETE MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT.

I used to have a BDO credit card but I STOPPED USING IT WHEN I HAD A RUPTURED BRAIN ANEURYSM WAY WAY BACK IN EARLY 2011. Sadly, after I had an operation for my ruptured brain aneurysm and was 50/50. I WAS BEDRIDDEN FOR A WHILE. I underwent physical therapy sessions and other check ups and was advised not to work anymore.

BDO: My Savings' Arch-Nemesis?  A Rant About UNJUST WAYS THAT BDO IMPLEMENT

Okay, folks, let's talk about banks.  Specifically, my bank, BANCO DE ORO (BDO).  And let me tell you, sometimes I feel like they're actively trying to drain my savings account.  I know, I know, banks aren't charities. They're businesses.  But does it have to feel like they're nickel-and-diming me into oblivion?

I'm not going to pretend I'm a financial guru.  I'm just a regular person trying to save a little bit of money.

For the first time in years, I got a letter from BDO a few minutes ago, informing me that they deducted 24, 773.62 from my savings account with them. This letter is out of the blue, I did not received any letters from BDO before this 2 letters simultaneously given to me by 2Go rider. I almost had a heart attack when I read BDO'S LETTERS.

I FELT SO BETRAYED!  Maybe, this is how Andi Eugenman felt when she learnt about their bff's (aka fake friend) advise to her husband to abandon his family ( Andi and 2 kids).

BDO took a slice out of my already meager pie.  And take note, I NEVER RECEIVED ANY DEMAND LETTER OR WHATEVER. I DID NOT USED THAT EXPIRED CARD since January  2011. NEVER WHEN I WAS BEDRIDDEN. I WONDER WHAT FEES CONSTITUTE THAT 24K PLUS PLUS. MAYBE, "Service fees," "dormancy fees," "transaction fees," – it's a constant barrage of fees!  It's like BDO is celebrating every time they get to deduct something.

I am now paranoid.  Am I maintaining the minimum balance?  Have I made a purchase using that expired credit card way back in 2011 while I was bedridden????  Is there some hidden fee lurking around the corner, waiting to pounce on my hard-earned cash?  It's exhausting!

I understand that banks need to make money.  But come on!  Are these fees really necessary?  Couldn't there be a more transparent and reasonable way to manage costs?  It feels like they're preying on people who are just trying to save.

And don't even get me started on the "convenience" of online banking.  Sure, it's convenient, but it also seems to open up a whole new world of potential fees.  Accidentally click the wrong button?  Fee.  Transfer to another bank?  Fee.  Just breathe too loudly near your computer?  Probably a fee.  Okay, I'm exaggerating, but it feels like that sometimes.

I've tried calling customer service, but it's often a frustrating experience.  Long wait times, generic responses, and ultimately, I'm left feeling like my concerns are falling on deaf ears.  They explain the fees, sure, but they don't really address the feeling that I'm being bled dry.

So, here I am, venting my frustrations into the internet void.  Maybe someone at BDO will actually read this.  Maybe other people feel the same way.  Maybe this will just disappear into the digital abyss.

But if you're out there, BDO, hear me:  I get it, you're a business.  But please, find a better way to make money that doesn't feel like you're actively trying to make my savings account disappear.  There are other banks out there, and eventually, I might just reach my breaking point and take my (rapidly dwindling) savings elsewhere.

Anyone else feel this way?  Let me know in the comments.  Misery loves company, right?  And maybe, just maybe, if enough of us complain, something might actually change.  A girl can dream, can't she?

    BENEFITS OF A SOLO PARENT

Solo Parent ID Benefits in the Philippines

The Solo Parent ID isn’t just an identification card—it’s a key that unlocks a variety of benefits specifically designed to support solo parents in their unique journey. These benefits, which are protected by law, aim to provide financial assistance, educational opportunities, and health care support, among other things.

Let’s take a closer look at these:

    Employment-Related Benefits

As a solo parent, you are entitled to flexible work schedules as long as it doesn’t interfere with your productivity or that of the company. Additionally, if you have been with your company for at least a year, you are eligible for a parental leave of up to seven days per year.

    Educational Benefits

The government provides educational benefits to solo parents and their children. This can be in the form of scholarships, student loans, and special projects that aim to improve the educational prospects of solo parents and their offspring.

    Health Benefits

Health benefits are also part of the package. The government assists solo parents by providing comprehensive health programs for their children.

    Housing Benefits

Solo parents have the right to avail of housing benefits under the law. This includes allocation in government low-cost housing projects and more liberal terms of payment on such housing.

    Livelihood Development Services

To help solo parents enhance their employability and earning potential, the government offers livelihood development and skills training. It includes access to seed capital or materials, technology transfer, production and management training, and marketing assistance.

How to Renew Solo Parent ID

Renewing a Solo Parent ID is a straightforward process that you can accomplish by visiting the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) office in your municipality or local government unit (LGU).

The Solo Parent ID is valid for one year, and it’s essential to renew it upon expiration to continue enjoying the benefits it offers.

Here are the steps to renew your Solo Parent ID:

    Visit the DSWD Office

Go to the DSWD office where you initially applied for your Solo Parent ID. If you’re unsure where this is, you can visit any DSWD office, and they should be able to guide you.

    Submit the Required Documents

Just like the initial application, you will need to submit certain documents for renewal. These typically include a filled-out application form for renewal and a valid government-issued ID.

    Wait for the Evaluation Result

After submitting the requirements, the DSWD office will evaluate your renewal application. The duration of this process can vary, so it’s best to ask the DSWD office for an estimated timeline.

    Claim your Solo Parent ID

Once approved, you can claim your renewed Solo Parent ID from the DSWD office.

Remember, each DSWD office might have slightly different requirements or processes, so it’s always a good idea to call ahead or check their website for the most accurate and updated information.

    Wrapping Up!

Renewing your Solo Parent ID is an important step to ensure you continue to receive the benefits provided to solo parents. The process involves visiting the DSWD office, submitting the required documents for renewal, waiting for the evaluation result, and then claiming your renewed ID.

A key point to remember is that the Solo Parent ID is valid for one year and must be renewed at the DSWD office upon expiration. Also, keep in mind that specific requirements or processes may vary slightly depending on the DSWD office, so it’s recommended to check with them for the most accurate information.

What is a Solo Parent ID?

A Solo Parent ID is an official identification card given by the government to single parents. This card is more than just an identification document – it’s an acknowledgment of the unique challenges solo parents face and the extraordinary role they play in raising their children single-handedly.

The Solo Parent ID serves multiple purposes. It’s a valid form of identification that can be used in all official transactions, both in government offices and private institutions.

But more importantly, it opens up a world of benefits and privileges designed to provide financial, educational, and medical assistance to solo parents. These benefits aim to ease the burden on solo parents and help them provide a stable and nurturing environment for their children.

The Solo Parent ID is valid for one year from the date of issue. However, it can be renewed annually so that solo parents can continue to avail themselves of the benefits associated with it.

RA 11861 or the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act: Important Things to Know

Republic Act No. 11861, better known as the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act, is a landmark legislation that significantly enhances the support provided to solo parents. It is an act is actually an amendment to the earlier Solo Parents’ Welfare Act of 2000, expanding the scope of benefits and privileges available to solo parents.

The Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act recognizes that solo parents face unique challenges that require tailored solutions. As such, the act provides a comprehensive package of services to address these needs, ranging from livelihood assistance to educational grants and medical discounts.

It mandates government agencies and private entities to extend certain benefits and privileges to solo parents, making it easier for them to fulfill their parental responsibilities.

    Who are Considered Solo Parents?

The term “solo parent” may seem straightforward, but it encompasses a wide range of situations under Philippine law. It’s not just about being single and having children. The law provides a much broader definition that includes various circumstances.

A solo parent could be a woman who becomes a parent as a result of rape. It could also be a parent left with the sole responsibility of parenthood due to the death, abandonment, separation, or disappearance of their spouse for at least one year.

The law also considers those left to care for children due to the physical and/or mental incapacity of their spouse as solo parents. Further, those who shoulder the parental responsibilities alone due to the dissolution of marriage are recognized as solo parents. And in a more inclusive understanding of the term, individuals who play both parental roles to a child or children with special needs are also considered solo parents.

The definition acknowledges that solo parenting can come about due to a variety of circumstances, each with its own set of challenges.

What are the Requirements for Solo Parent ID?

The Solo Parent ID is an indispensable tool that unlocks a range of benefits designed to help solo parents in their journey. However, obtaining this ID involves meeting certain requirements and following a specific process.

Here’s a detailed guide on what you need to prepare:

    1. Filled out Application Form

The first requirement is a duly filled out application form. The form, available at your local social welfare and development office, asks for personal details, information about your children, and your circumstances as a solo parent.

    2.  Proof of Financial Status

You will also need to provide proof of your financial status. It can be in the form of income tax return documents, pay slips, or any other official document that verifies your income level. The purpose of this requirement is to assess your financial capacity and determine the level of assistance you may need.

    3. Proof of Solo Parent Status

The requirement is crucial and requires evidence that verifies your status as a solo parent. It could be a death certificate if you are a widow or widower, a declaration of nullity of marriage if you are annulled or separated, or a medical certificate if the other parent is incapacitated.

    4. Birth Certificate(s) of Child/Children

You must submit the birth certificate(s) of your child or children. It serves as proof of your parental status and helps in determining the appropriate benefits based on the age and number of your dependents.

    5. Barangay Certificate

A Barangay certificate is required to confirm your residency and circumstance. This document should certify that you are living in the area and that you are indeed a solo parent.

    6. Personal Appearance

Finally, your personal appearance is required when submitting these documents. This allows the social welfare officer to assess your situation personally, clarify any queries, and verify the authenticity of your documents.

Remember, every solo parent’s situation is unique, so additional requirements may be asked depending on your specific circumstances. It’s always best to check with your local social welfare and development office for the most accurate information.

    Bicol Bound: A 21-Hour Odyssey

    Bicol Bound: A 21-Hour Odyssey

    By Engineer Debbie Butch

Ever heard of a 21-hour land trip from Manila to Bicol? Yeah, me neither until I experienced it myself in December 2024. Let's just say, it was an adventure to remember (or forget).

The Great Laguna to Naga City Race

I embarked on this epic journey with high hopes, only to be met with a reality check. While I was aiming for a quick trip to Naga City, it turned out to be a marathon.

    * The Runners-up: Lucena and Lopez in Quezon gave me a taste of what was to come - heavy traffic and slow-moving vehicles.

    * The Champion: Lupi, Camarines Sur - This town in Camarines Sur clinched the title of the slowest stretch of the entire trip. With almost 6 hours of minimal movement, I had ample time for a nap or two.

    The Road Less Traveled

The road conditions were, to put it mildly, less than ideal.

    * One-way Street for Days: Despite the DPWH's announcement of a two-way lane, the reality was far from it.

    * Overtaking? Forget it. The narrow roads and heavy traffic made overtaking impossible.

    * Patience is Key: The only way to survive this journey was to be patient and accept the slow pace.

    A Glimpse of Hope

While the journey was tough, there was a silver lining. Ongoing construction projects hinted at a brighter future for the road.

Making the Most of the Journey

While the slow pace might seem daunting, there are ways to make the most of this long trip:

    * Plan Stopovers:

    * Lucena City: Enjoy local delicacies like "panutsa" (sweet sticky rice cakes) and visit the Quezon Park.

    * Tayabas: Explore the historic Tayabas Presidio, a Spanish-era fort.

    * Pagbilao: Relax on the beautiful beaches of Pagbilao.

    * Sorsogon City: Visit the Bulusan Volcano National Park and enjoy the stunning views.

    * Bring Entertainment: Load up on audiobooks, podcasts, or movies to keep yourself entertained during the long hours.

    * Travel with Companions: Make the journey more enjoyable by traveling with friends or family.

    * Embrace the Slow Pace: Use the time to reflect, read, or simply enjoy the scenery.

    Key Takeaways:

    * Plan Ahead: If you're planning a trip to Bicol, be prepared for a long and potentially stressful journey.

    * Be Patient: The key to surviving this trip is patience and a positive attitude.

    * Stay Updated: Keep an eye on road conditions and traffic updates before embarking on your journey.

    * Make the Most of It: Utilize the journey time by exploring attractions along the way and enjoying the company of your fellow travelers.

    Conclusion

While the 21-hour trip from Manila to Bicol was undoubtedly challenging, it was also a unique experience. It taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and the beauty of slow travel. Despite the long hours and the frustrating traffic, the destination was worth it.

The Bicol-Manila Grind: 21-Hour Bus Rides and the Reality of Philippine Roads

The journey between Bicol and Manila, while offering a breathtaking views of the Philippine countryside, is often a grueling test of patience. The combination of one-way roads, heavy traffic, and the sheer distance can easily stretch a trip that should take 8-10 hours into a 21-hour ordeal.

    The One-Way Road Dilemma:

A significant contributor to the extended travel time is the prevalence of one-way roads along certain sections of the route. Like the ones in Lupi, Camarines Sur, where you'll be stucked for a good 5 hours or more. These roads
, create bottlenecks when buses traveling in opposite directions must navigate narrow passing lanes or wait for oncoming vehicles to clear. This constant stop-and-go significantly slows down the overall journey.

    Traffic Chokepoints:

Adding to the delays are numerous traffic choke points along the route. These include:

    * City Centers: Passing through towns and cities like Naga, Legazpi, and Ligao often involves navigating congested urban areas with heavy traffic.

    * Construction Zones: Road construction and repair work frequently narrow lanes and slow down traffic flow.

    * Accidents: Unfortunately, accidents along the route are not uncommon, leading to major traffic jams and further delays.

    The Human Toll:

These extended travel times take a significant toll on passengers.

    * Physical Discomfort: Sitting for 21 hours can be incredibly uncomfortable, leading to back pain, stiff necks, and fatigue.

    * Missed Opportunities: Long travel times limit the ability to maximize time in either destination, impacting work, school, and social commitments.

    * Emotional Stress: The constant delays and uncertainty can be incredibly frustrating and stressful for travelers.

    Possible Solutions:

While a complete overhaul of the road infrastructure may take years, some potential solutions to alleviate the travel woes include:

    * Expanding Road Networks: Constructing additional lanes and bypass roads to reduce congestion.

    * Improving Road Maintenance: Regular maintenance and timely repairs can minimize disruptions caused by road damage.

    * Enhancing Traffic Management: Implementing more effective traffic management systems, such as improved traffic signaling and better coordination between authorities.

    * Promoting Alternative Modes of Transport: Exploring alternative modes of transport, such as faster and more comfortable buses or even the possibility of high-speed rail in the future.

LUNETA GRANDSTAND EVENT ON OCTOBER 12

    Come one, come all!

You and your family are invited to the 46th Anniversary celebration 🎊 🎉 of Jesus is Lord Church Worldwide (JIL)  on 12 October, 2024,  Saturday at 3 o' clock in the afternoon at Quirino Grandstand in Luneta, Manila, Philippines.

Celebrations will start at 3pm, but devoted JIL members and supporters are encouraged  to arrive early at the venue. You're expected to come as early as 2 a.m. Everybody is welcome to attend some members will be coming from as far as Ilocos in the North and Quezon in the South.

This year’s theme is “CHRIST IS THE ANSWER” based on Romans 7:25a (NLT Version): “Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord.”

This is timely, as obviously the world is in so much pain and darkness at the moment. Still reeling from the tragic ravages of the Covid Pandemic, numerous parts of the world face economic and health challenges like never before. Unparalleled poverty indiscriminately slices through the various layers of society not only in third-world or developing countries (like the Philippines) but even in powerful nations like America, Japan, and Singapore, to name a few. Inflation is everywhere; basic commodities, i.e. food items, have become ridiculously pricey. Meanwhile, people are getting sick more easily and more frequently, pushing governments to be more engaged in monitoring the physical and mental health of their constituents. But no matter how serious these material and health problems seem to be, the more urgent issue at hand is moral and spiritual bankruptcy.

The Word of God in 2 Timothy 3:1-4 is on-point when it said, “…in the last days there come times of difficulty…people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God…”

Taking advantage of the legit-sounding term “gender dysphoria,” members of the Alphabet Community (LGBTQA++) are shamelessly parading their love for self and pleasure, unholiness, and plain and simple recklessness by dishonouring “their own bodies between themselves…even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise, also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is shameful…” (Romans 1:24, 26-27 KJ2000 Version). They shall not inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9). It appears proponents of homosexuality and transgenderism are promised wholeness in their so-called gender choice. This is one of the saddest lies to ever come from hell; only in Christ can fallen ma find full and true life, because when you have Christ, you have everything. “Of His fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.” (John 1:16)

Poverty. Sicknesses, diseases, and infirmities. Mental confusion. Violence, heinous crimes, and incredible political scenarios. Famine and calamities. Above all, moral bankruptcy, enslavement to sin, and spiritual deadness.

Where do we turn? Who has the answer?

It pleased the Father that in Christ Jesus should all fullness dwell (John 1:16), therefore our completeness is in Him. So, we come to Christ--the One who rules over all powers in heaven and earth. We bow our knees to Jesus our Lord, the unchanging, Omnipotent Christ who remains absolutely the same (Hebrews 13:8) in a rapidly changing, deteriorating world.

Only Christ is THE answer. Only Christ HAS the answer. All of GOD (His power, attributes, etc) is IN Christ. The sick, the poor, the lost, and the confused—those whose lives have been almost devoured by the evil one can now RECEIVE the ANSWER: hope, peace, and abundant life here, and eternal life with the Father, in heaven. (John 10:10)

We need to tell others about Him! We need to bring our communities to Christ. We need to proclaim that JESUS CHRIST IS TRULY THE ANSWER TO ALL OF FALLEN MAN’S COMPLETE NEEDS (body, soul, and spirit). He Himself gave us the Great Commission, with a reminder that all powers belonged to Him: “18 …All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world...”

CHRIST IS THE ANSWER, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” (Colossians 1:16-17 King James Version)

    YTV Japan

YTV Japan or Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation is the member of Nippon Television Network System and operates in the Kansai(Kinki) region.

We happened to pass by YTV in Japan when we went to Osaka Castle. And much to our delight, just across the bridge going to Osaka Castle are my favorite Japanese manga characters from Detective Cohan series in a life-size bronze statue.  The whole team looks so good. I did not miss the chance and had my photo taken with the gang.

Detective Conan is a Japanese detective manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama.

This coating with its candy-like taste and appearance, also made the tablet smoother and easier to swallow.

Through the years, Poten-Cee has also formulated adult to pedia variants to suit Filipinos’ diverse needs and preferences:  Ascorbic acid as Sodium Ascorbate (Poten-Cee NA)² and Poten-Cee Plus for adults and children who prefer a vitamin C in non-acidic format³   Ascorbic acid (Poten-Cee Chewable), a convenient format for those who are always on the go  Ascorbic acid (Poten-Cee Forte) 1000 mg with 8-hour time release for those who prefer a higher dose of Vitamin C   Ascorbic acid (Poten-Cee Sugar-Free) for those watching their blood sugar.

    Poten-Cee's Beauty of Immunity
In 2016, Poten-Cee introduced the tagline “The Beauty of Immunity.”  Aside from Vitamin C helping to fortify immunity which is vital to good health, it is also essential in collagen production to help support healthy skin.  Still in line with this message, PascualLab’s flagship brand launched Poten-Cee + C in 2022.  Poten-Cee + C is a food supplement which combines Vitamin C and Hydrolyzed Collagen.

Among Poten-Cee's newer variants are Poten-Cee + Zn (Ascorbic acid + Zinc) and
Poten-Cee + Zn Advance (Ascorbic acid + Zinc + Cholecalciferol) which were both launched in 2021. Poten-Cee + ZN combines Vitamin C that supports immunity and Zinc that helps protect cells from viral infections, among other benefits.  Meanwhile Poten-Cee Zn Advance combines active ingredients that play critical roles in immune function, inflammatory response, and collagen synthesis.4-9

    Poten-Cee Is Forging Forward
This year, as part of the brand’s forging forward, Poten-Cee unveiled a new offering of Poten-Cee + C. Poten-Cee + C Marine Collagen has Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C in non-acidic format)³ and Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen sourced from fish. 10 With this introduction, Poten-Cee + C now has options that offer consumers type 1 collagen sourced from fish (marine collagen) and type 2 collagen, from bovine or animal sources (original variant).

As Poten-Cee celebrates 50 years of providing consumers with trusted Vitamin C products, it wishes to extend its deepest gratitude for the unwavering support given by Filipinos. This has been the cornerstone of its success, inspiring the brand to continually innovate and improve, more so in the years to come.

How to Request For Your Back Logged LTO Driver's License

LTO launches dedicated website to check if driver's license cards are ready for pick up.

Are you still waiting for your driver's license to be printed on a plastic card? If you don't want to make the trip to your preferred LTO driver's license renewal office (DLRO) and find out it's still not yet available, the government agency recently announced you can now request and check the availability of your driver's license card online.

Yes, you read right, the LTO has put up a website wherein users with no driver's license cards can check if they're already available. For now, the LTO says the system only works for clients who renewed (or applied) for a driver's license at select offices under the jurisdiction of LTO-NCR. The agency also mentioned that clients who wish to request and claim their driver's license cards could only get them at the DLRO (or licensing center) where they renewed. Meaning, if you request it from their McKinley Office in Venice Grand Canal, you can only personally get it from the same branch.

Yeah, I know you'll probably say it is the same banana. But at least, you save some gas trip to LTO office.

For now, these are the only locations in which clients can request and check if their driver's license cards are already available

    I. DLRO

    1. Robinsons Metro East

    2. SM North EDSA

    3. Ali Mall, Cubao

    4. Ever Gotesco Mall, Commonwealth

    5. Venice Grand Canal Mall

    6. Tiendesitas, Ortigas Pasig City

    II Licensing Centers

    1. Quezon City Licensing Center

    2. Quezon City LC - Renewal Section

    3. Valenzuela Licensing Extension Office

    4. San Juan Licensing Center

    III. District/Extension Offices
