AN AFTERNOON OF POLO GAME WITH FILA SKELETOES

WHAT THE HECK IS SKELETOES?

SKELETOES is a new barefoot shoe offering from Fila with feature that combines two smallest toes for ease of entry while a bungee cord at the heel and top of the foot makes the shoes easy to pull on and off. Flexible, form-fitting, and lightweight, the Fila Skele-toes takes athletic footwear to the next level. 4-way stretch upper. Multi-activity traction on outsole. These are best for active men, women and children for use in casual activities as biking, boating, swimming, walking, etc.

It was an afternoon of unlimited Moët & Chando (French pronunciation: (moɛt ay shah-DAUH} {mo.et e ʃɑ̃.dɔ̃]) at the launch of Fila's Skeletoes which coincided with the 2012 Fila Polo Cup.

The Fila Skeletoes was launched at the Manila Polo Club with fireworks and band and unlimited food.

It was a sight to behold. Ladies in sundresses, sunglasses and beautiful hats, men in Panama hats.

A buffet of smoked bangus mousse on puff squares, mini beef empanaditas, barbecued chicken skewers with mango salsa, pandesal bar with kesong puti with honey and tomatoes, pulled pork adobo flakes, sundried tomato chicken, and tuna mayo fillings, filled the tummies of everyone.

The pasta bar has mix of farfalle with local longganisa and white cheese in garlic, olive oil and chili pepper, penne with crabfat cream sauce. I especially like the dessert of Turon bars with ube and jackfruit with English cream and toasted sesame, oh so yummy! ( Correction, I love it!)  spread that had sumptuous chocnut mousse in trifle cups, and delicious mango and pandan  Trinity cream served in mini porcelain cups.

After the awarding of trophies to the winning polo team the UP Dancers performed difficult stunts to the delight of the crowd.
There is also a band that played the most in demand tunes. A dinner buffet  was set up right at the field and fireworks lit up the sky. It was an amazing experience!

A Fire in the Soul: A Cantata

Go see A Fire in the soul: A Cantata to know what people may go through during a war. La Salle University is paying a tribute to those who died in the massacre in the school at the end of World War II. The show is called A Fire in the Soul: A Cantata

In the play the brothers are warned to leave the premises but they decided to stay to defend the school. Sixteen brothers and 24 civilians were massacred in the school’s premises on Feb. 12, 1945.

When the war commenced, the American Christian Brothers were replaced by the German Christian Brothers who were based in Singapore. They, in turn, were expelled from Singapore by the British because the United Kingdom was at war with Germany in Europe. Since Germany was not at war with Japan, this seemed to be a good decision at the time. However, war turns human beings into monsters and as the Americans made their drive towards Manila, the Japanese vented their frustrations on hapless unarmed citizens. Out of the flames of war, heroes are also forged. This show will honor their memory, their service to humanity, and make us remember them eternally.

Director Peque Gallaga had this to say: “The La Salle Martyrs were the first foreigners who proved Filipinos were worth dying for.” Gallaga said that aside from showing love for their host country, the brothers’ deaths also showed that investing in Filipinos meant more than teaching them literacy and numeracy. He further added that the message of the show was on the level of what inspired people to join the “yellow army” of pro-Cory Aquino groups with high ideals, high principles. The Filipino people had the power to toppled a dictator.

Fire in the Soul was created by Gabby Fernandez, directed by Peque Gallaga, with a libretto by Vicente Garcia Groyon, and music by Von de Guzman.

The cast includes Michael de Mesa (Bro. Egbert), Franco Laurel (Bro. Antonius), Al Gatmaitan (Bro. Mutwald), Jonel Mojica (Bro. Friedbert), Miguel Castro (Bro. Arkadius), Floyd Tena (Bro. Athanasius), and Naomi Sison (Alma Mater).

Also, joining them are Onyl Torres (Japanese Captain), Nazer Salcedo (Japanese Soldier 1), Gary Fabricante (Japanese Soldier 2), and John Gilbert Arceo (Japanese Soldier 3).

Narrators are Jaime Fabregas, Ricky Gallaga, Conchita Castillo, Dado Jose, Tanya Lopez, and Louie Zabaljauregi.

Featured in this production are the different La Salle singing groups, namely: De La Salle Inner Soul, De La Salle-Zobel Chorale, La Salle Centennial Orchestra, La Salle Centennial Chorus. Some kids of La Salle-Greenhills are also part of the show.

Joining the Production and the Artistic Team are Mio Infante (Production Design), Dong Calingacion (Technical and Lighting Director), GA Fallarme (Projection Design), Br. Bernard S. Oca, FSC (Executive Producer), and Lore Reyes (Line Producer).

The show will only have two performances at the Teresa Yuchengco Auditorium at the 7th floor of the Don Enrique Yuchengco Hall at De La Salle University in Taft Avenue on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m., and Monday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. (Gala Night).

Tickets for the Feb. 26 show are P200 for regular tickets and P100 for students, and for the Feb. 27 show, regular tickets are P500 and P250 for students, and regular balcony tickets are P250 and P200 for students. Google Cleared Blog Sites with Nuffnang X Conversations

Google Cleared Blog Sites with Nuffnang X Conversations

Finally after almost three days my site together with other nuffnangers and bloggers with Nuffnang x javascript and html installed on their sites was cleared by Google.

While Google has cleared malware warnings on NuffnangX as early as the evening of December 5, we all know that some of the Nuffnangers blogs are still showing the malware warning from Google. And that is so unfair. Nuffnang X must help all those blog owners to have their websites clear by Google!

What happened?

Google is "praning". They labeled Nuffnang X as a malware! With the Nuffnang x installed on my template and on my side bar I also got Google's ire! Maybe they put that warning for the good of the readers but it is absolutely irresponsible of them because the "malware ahead" warning destroyed the credibility of the blog sites they mistook to be having a malware. They issued a warning without conducting proper tests and without notifying first the site owners especially the bloggers whose only fault is be nice to Nuffnang and installed the Nuffnang X despite its issues and problems. We don't earn anything from Nuffnang X. We added Nuffnang x upon the request of Nuffnang, who is very good to us bloggers.

I am praying and hoping that by now, most of the blog sites affected by the malware ahead warning were now back to normal. In our case we were cleared after we removed Nuffnang x conversation html and javascript from our sites.

Welcome
