KAPITOLYO PASIG FOOD TRIP: Size Matters Sausage Burgers

KAPITOLYO PASIG FOOD TRIP: Size Matters Sausage Burgers

Yesterday, my blogger friends and I went to the Ground Floor of Ace Water Spa at United St., Kapitolyo, Pasig, not to try the water spa but to have some gastronomic adventure at #‎sizematterspasig.

Size Matters Sausage Burgers restaurant offers not your usual fastfood beef burger that gets smaller by the second. Size Matters Sausage Burgers restaurant serves gourmet sausage burgers. My number one pick is its Italian Burger Job “IBJ” ¼ lb that costs Php189. I was so excited when I took a bite because you could taste the freshly baked tasty bun, Italian sausage patty, sweet tasting caramelized onions, Monterey Jack, garlic cream cheese, lettuce and tomatoes in every bite. I am glad that it did not scrimp on the ingredients! Yey! Four of us shared this yummy invention.

I hardly ever give this rating but I think this deserves 5 fingers. So there you go, my first ever 5 fingers rating for a gourmet burger.

Next in line is the Breakfast in Bed “BIB” ¼ lb Php189.  At Size Matters Sausage Burgers you have an option to add on whatever you like such as Maple Bacon for only Php35, egg for Php10, and so on and so forth.

Instead of the usual bun, Size Matters Sausage Burgers uses English muffin for its Breakfast in Bed “BIB” burger.

When I took a bite, I tasted sweet caramelized onions, breakfast sausage patty, bacon, fried egg, American cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise. It was good but not as good as "IBJ".

Ratings:

And the finale- The Works Burger 1/3 lb.

The last but definitely not the least burger will make bacon lovers very very happy. TWB burger is a bit salty for my taste. Maybe the salty taste comes from the cheese and bacon. The burger patties are huge, tender and very juicy. At 1/3 lb, it is definitely a steal at Php299.

Introducing the all-new Lord of the Onion Rings! It is good and simple. I love it with ketchup and mayo.

Size Matters Sausage Burgers crispy coated onion rings make an excellent appetizer or side dish. Onion rings are a more exclusive menu item, appealing to a narrower, more discerning customers. Thus, it is important to get the very best, right? Most of us will mindlessly gnaw away at the sleeve of tater twigs in front of us, even if they're not our fave. But a righteous ring is worth going out of your way for. I'd even argue that the rings are the thing that decides many a burger destination. Size Matters Sausage Burgers thinly sliced onion rings are less greasy that their counterparts. They taste good and taste even better when dip in bleu cheese which costs an extra Php40, but if you like to scrimp on food just use mayo.

Please note that the Lord of the Onion Rings is not yet included in the menu but you can order this. Just tell your server you want one.

Carbonara

Carbonara is one of my favorite dishes. I like the Size Matters Sausage Burgers version.

couldn't wait to bring my brother who is a carbonara snob at Size Matters Sausage Burgers. Let's see how he will react.

Ratings:

Salad

Fresh and yummy. Simple but tasty.

Ratings:

Chili wings on a hot afternoon. I love Size Matters Sausage Burgers version of buffalo wings as they are so tasty and meaty and the wings' three (3) parts are intact.

Ratings:

Service

The service is top notch and fast.

Bathroom

It is clean and has tissue, water and soap. The flush is working too. I also love the fact that the owner provided hand sanitizer on each table.

Glory to the free wifi!

The restaurant could probably seat about 20 people and I appreciate the simple interiors. It is a diner with straightforward menu.

Its outside seating area transformed into de facto al fresco smoking area can accommodate up to 15 people.

I was amazed how a locally conceptualized store came up with so many yummy burger combinations. Yes, with an "s" because it doesn't have only one but several kinds of gourmet burgers. ‬Mind you, this joint don't offer the usual boring fast food small-sized burgers.

I think it is a plus that customers can even come up with their own burger combination. You could even choose your favorite root beer companion. My blogger friends and I had the best tasting root beer ever. Please go ask them the brand ha ha ha! It will give the number one root beer brand a run of its money. It is being offered for only Php65.

All of the burgers are sausage-based patties and sausages tend to be more flavorful at times than regular burger patties, so I’m happy about this. Size Matters’ Italian Burger Job satisfies and is filling, even if it’s just the ¼ lb.

Size Matters is open from 11am to 11pm Sun. to Thurs and 10am to 1am Fri. to Sat. ‪#‎sizematterssausageburgers‬

All the servings were huge and they really made my tummy full.

I encourage you and your friends to try out this joint. I can't help it, but I want to come back again soon for more of its gourmet burgers. The double patty burgers are big enough for 2 to 4 people depending on your appetite.

Overall rating:

All of its burgers are juicy and tasty especially with the mustard, ketcup and mayo they provide on every table. Definitely a must-try!

Luis said "Sorry guys, I did not come prepared to pose for the camera." He is a great stand-up comedian.
I won't deny it, though I am a Bicolana, I am a true blue Vilmanian. I truly adore ate Vi not only because of her acting skills and how she treats everyone but also how she raised such a fine young gentleman in Luis Philippe Santos Manzano.  Popularly known as "Lucky" when he was little, he now uses Luis Manzano as his official screen name.

So, I was not surprised the other day during the press conference of Luis Manzano's new season of Kapamilya Deal or No Deal show that 20 "Lucky" Star members composed of a teen heartthrob, beauty queen, comedian, character actor, sexy actress, and many more are to join Luis in his wacky antics and banters this coming February 9, 2015.

An all-new “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” is coming your way this 2015 as host Luis Manzano returns with an diverse mix of popular personalities that will not only hold the briefcases that can change their lives but will also give them a chance to make a deal of a lifetime.

Winning the P1 million jackpot has never been this fun. Before the game starts, a roulette will determine who among the Lucky Stars will be the player for the day. The chosen player may opt to keep his or her briefcase or trade it with another Lucky Star. The bargaining begins and the player opens the briefcases in hopes of getting a big offer from the Banker.

This is the first time in all ‘Deal’ franchises around the world that the briefcase models will be replaced by popular personalities who will also serve as studio players.

Please don’t miss the premiere of the all-new “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” beginning Monday (Feb 9) on ABS-CBN.

CHINESE NEW YEAR 2015 MUST DO

CHINESE NEW YEAR 2015 MUST DO

I believe in God. But I think there is nothing wrong if we try this ancient Chinese practice of Feng Shui for the upcoming Chinese New year 2015. For me, it is merely practical suggestions on what we must do in order to have more good luck. Welcoming New Year be it the beginning of the calendar year or Chinese New Year, it always marks a new beginning for each one of us. Starting fresh means making changes that will hopefully bring us more blessings in the year to come. Infeng shui terms it means ushering in new energy to bring in abundance and success. I already posted the suggestions below last December 2014 in another blog, but I believe it is still applicable for the coming Chinese New Year. So here it goes. Philippine feng shui expert, Master Hanz Cua recommends that you include these 8 essential tips to observe when welcoming Chinese New Year 2015:

General Cleaning and Cleansing. Prepare your home by doing a general cleanup of both the inside and the outside of your house. Clean up any clutters that are lying around inside the house and get rid of broken appliances or gadgets. Broken objects and shabby surroundings invite poverty. Do your cleaning before New Year’s day itself. When all is done, “cleanse” the premises by burning incense.

Wear Red for Power and Green for Wealth.

New Haircut. A new hairdo will help activate the Peach Blossom Star of Romance, especially for those singles who are hoping to find their special someone.

Bountiful Chinese New Year Spread. Celebrating Chinese New Year’s Eve in a bountiful manner guarantees a year of prosperity. Meat, fish and greens should be represented and different types of fruits and cakes for good luck. Don’t forget to leave some leftovers of each dish, this symbolizes that you will not run out of food for the rest of the year.

Twelve Different Kinds of Fruits. Choose twelve kinds of fruits to symbolize each month of the year.

Pineapple-is the one fruit that you must always have in your basket. The Hokkien word for pineapple is ông-lâi, which means 'fortune comes.'

Orange-represents gold in Chinese tradition; its round shape means signifies money.

Apples- the Chinese word for apple in is ping, which means harmony.

Grapes-represent luxury; traditionally, it was eaten by kings and royalty.

Banana-they come in clusters, which symbolize unity; its yellow color stands for happiness.

Mangoes-the sweetness of ripe mangoes signify the sweetness that is among family members.

Lemon-its fragrance and essence is known to cleanse or remove negative 'vibes.'

Watermelon (Pakwan)-its color means prosperity and many seeds stand for abundance.

Papaya-like the orange its color is symbolic of gold.

Lychees-its round, red body stands for happiness and good fortune.

Avocados-green or purple color both symbolize prosperity.

Pomelo (Suha)-its bright red or pink pulp represents good health.

Check the Plumbing and Electrical System. Any leaks in your pipes and faucets correlate to leaks in your finances. Light bulbs, outlets and switches should all be in good condition. Burned out light bulbs and faulty wiring signifies poor chi flow, which means your good luck suffers too.

Red Envelope (Ampao). These small red envelops decorated with gold Chinese characters are given as gifts by the elderly to the children or younger generation on the eve of New Year. There is always a certain amount of money inside. This represents a “payment” to appease the ghosts so they won’t harm the recipients of the ampao. In general the red envelop signifies protection and good luck.

Making a Loud Noise. The Chinese believe loud noise drives away evil spirits.
