Personally I believe that the fastest way to go to Hongkong Disneyland is by MTR.

Take the MTR to Sunny Bay MTR station where you change train to Disneyland Resort Line which will take you to Disneyland Resort station.

The MTR train going to HK Disneyland is a specially designed Disney train. Riding on the Disney design MTR is in itself  already an entertainment. The train is so cute with Disney characters accessorizing the interior of the train.

Travel on the railway network of MTR and interchange for the Disneyland Resort Line at Sunny Bay Station.

  • 23 minutes from the Hong Kong International Airport- MTR Airport station.

  • 30 minutes from MTR Kowloon station.

  • 33 minutes from MTR Hong Kong station

Guests can pick up Park Tickets too at Hong Kong MRT Station!

2 weeks or 14 days or half a month ... that is how long most people have to book in advance in to dine here. Spring Deer Restaurant is one of the few remaining old-school Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong and it is famous for its Peking Duck.

We were lucky that my uncle knew the owners. So we always get a table whenever we are in Hong Kong.

The decor remained pretty much the same over the last few decades.  It was always full house with staff rushing back and forth. Worth noting that most of the dishes come in 3 different sizes, Small - Medium - Large.  The idea of offering different dish size was nothing new, it was there long before I was even born.

They offer Peking Duck - Three Ways! It was fun watching the chef preparing the Peking duck!
This restaurant is famous for its specialty -- honey-glazed Peking duck, which costs HK$280 (US$36/£18) and is good for two to four persons. Since you'll probably have to wait 40 minutes for the duck if you order it during peak time (7:30-9:30pm), it's best to arrive either before or after the rush.
The first way was in the traditional way of sliced skin with Chinese pancakes.
 Yummy Peking Duck rolls

The second way to enjoy the Peking Duck dish was the common Lettuce Wrap with Minced Duck.

The Peking Duck third dish was the Peking Duck soup.  You see you could request them to chop the remaining duck into small pieces to make this soup. Not that there were much duck flavor to the soup but it was quite comforting to drink.

Enjoy your Peking Duck!

October 31, 2011 A Non-Working Holiday

Last October 10, 2011, President Noynoy Aquino signed Proclamation No. 265 declaring October 31, 2011 as a special non-working day throughout the Philippines.

That makes the weekend of October 29-30 extend to November 1, which is traditionally a non-working day for Filipinos — All Saints Day.

Rejoice! We now have four (4)days vacation!

The President wants to give the Filipinos to properly observe the Holy Day and thus the additional holiday will provide us time to travel to our respective hometowns.

Here’s a copy of Proclamation No. 265
