The mood was festive during the induction of People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) 2015 New set of officers held during its 602nd General Membership Meeting at the Luzon Ballroom of Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila in Pasay City last January 28, 2015. 


Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Sonny B. Coloma inducted the 2015 Officers and Board of Trustees of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP).

Secretary Coloma, 1998 PMAP President, delivered an inspiring talk about the PMAP’s theme this year: Defy Limits… Perform Beyond the Ordinary.


The 2015 officers inducted are President Roberto M. Policarpio, AFPM (San Miguel Corporation/ San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation); Vice President Jesse Francis N. Rebustillo (Philippine Daily Inquirer); Board Secretary Bonifacio C. Afortunado (Orglink, Inc.); and Treasurer Leo S. Gellor (Individual Member).

The new set of PMAP Board of Trustees is composed by Marvin P. Adolfo (Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc.); Dioscoro O. Ayag, Jr (PMAP Bohol); Marie Agnes L. Alcasid (Solutions Incorporated/Solutions Insurance Brokers, Inc.); Ric A. Bayao (Moog Controls Corporation); Jacqueline A. Fedalizo (Rayomar Management, Inc.); Ellen C. Fulido (F. J. Elizalde Group of Companies / Manila Broadcasting Company); Reynaldo V. Garote (San Pedro College); Dina H. Loomis (South East Asia Speakers & Trainers Bureau, Inc.); Ma. Paz V. Malubay (P&A Grant Thornton Outsourcing, Inc.); Jocelyn R. Pick (Profiles Asia Pacific, Inc.); Myrna G. Reyes, FPM (Lyceum of the Philippines University); Rossana B. Silvestre (Universal Robina Corporation); Vilma C. Valera (Medicard Philippines, Inc.).

The PMAP Ex-Officios who also took oath of office are Atty. Josephus B. Jimenez, FPM (Immediate Past President); Rene M. Gener, DPM (Executive Director); Enrique V. Abadesco Jr., DPM (President, Society of Fellows in People Management and Chairperson, Council of Presidential Advisers); Atty. Pilar Nenuca P. Almira, DPM (President, PMAP HRM Foundation); and Lucila C. Tarriela, DPM (President, Center for Human Resource Management).
PMAP's theme for 2015 is to defy Limits;Perform Beyond the Ordinary. The idea of performing beyond the ordinary as they transverse the waves of change and transformation. With this move, the organization is encouraging everyone to become more responsive and dynamic for the present and future generation.
PMAP, with 24 chapters nationwide, is strictly a professional, non-stock, not-for-profit organization of over 1,800 member companies and individual management executives engaged or interested in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Industrial Relations (IR) work. Founded more than 56 years ago, PMAP continue the tradition of its forefathers in advancing the profession, the science, and the art of Human Resource Management. 

As a professional association, PMAP helps institutions mold an enlightened, competent, socially responsible, and influential sector of people managers who can effectively participate in nation-building. PMAP also helps its members become more effective on the job by teaching the human aspect of management via numerous career development forums and training programs.
