Hurom Slow Juicer Demo by Chef Kel Zaguirre


Last Thursday, June 14, 2012, there was a live product demo By Chef Kel Zaguirre, a faculty at the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde and one of the Chefs behind the highly-successful Junior Master Chefs Philippines. He did an actual demonstration of Hurom Slow Juicer at Mafbex in the World Trade Center, Pasay City.
Chef Kel Zaguirre made two delicious masterpieces. 
              

Ingredients for the Citrus-Patis Vinaigrette:

1 tbsp Juice of Lime
1 tbsp Juice of Lemon
1 tbsp of Green Mango
2 tsp White Wine Vinegar
1 tbsp Red bell pepper Bruniose
1 1/2 tbsp Patis/Fish Sauce
1/2 cup Olive Oil
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Sesame Seeds, Toasted
2 Teaspoon Salt
2 Teaspoon Pepper
2 Teaspoon Sugar

For the Crispy Tilapia:

2 pcs. Tilapia Fillet
2 Teaspoon Salt
2 Teaspoon Pepper
Flour for dredging
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Cooking Oil for frying

For the Salad:

150 gms. Mixed Greens (arugula, ice berg lettuce, alfalfa etc.)
1/2 can Mandarin Oranges
1 piece red Raddish, sliced
5 gms. Fresh Mint
5 pcs. Fried Wanton/ Fried Sotanghon

Procedure:

Use Hurom Slow Juicer in the fruits involved in the vinaigrette. Mix all ingredients together and arrange them on a plate. Voila! The finished product!
                                                  
The second Recipe is Grilled Prawns and Watermelon Salad
                        
Ingredients For the Grilled Prawns: 

6 pcs. Jumbo Black Tiger Prawns
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Pepper
1 Teaspoon Paprika
2 tbsp. Olive Oil

                                                              For the Salad:

150 gms. Mixed Greens
40 gms. Feta Cheese
5 pcs. Sliced Watermelons
2 tbsp Pili/Cashew Nuts
50 gms. Yellow Bell Pepper, Julienne
1 tbsp Flat Leaf Parsley
30 gms. Red Onion       
                                                       
                         
For the Watermelon Vinaigrette: 

1/4 cup Juice of Watermelon
1 tbsp White Wine Vinegar
1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
1 tbsp Strawberry Jam
150 ml Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Teaspoon of Pepper
1 Teaspoon of Sugar

Procedure: 
Use Hurom Slow Juicer to make Watermelon juice. Mix all the rest of the ingredients according to taste.  Special thanks to ate Myrns Geronimo Roman for the food pix.

These all look delicious! It is amazing all the possibilities and recipes you can make with a Hurom juicer. I have had mine for years and just had to purchase some Hurom juicer parts for it. Not only have I been able to make super neat recipes, but it has got my family on a good diet. Also, do you by any chance have a Pinterest at all showcasing your dishes?
