SIM CARDS IN HONG KONG

SIM CARDS

It is  cheaper to buy a SIM Card in Hong Kong for both local and international calls/texts than using Philippine roaming service.

Prepaid CSL SIM Cards are available in 7-Eleven , Circle C, Chunking Mansion, Mirador Mansion, TST and World Wide House in Central  for those planning to use a local SIM card at around 50HKD each.

I bought mine at World Wide House for 50hkd. At that time SMART has a promo for sim cards but can only be availed after 3 days so I beg off 'coz I will be home by the time it would be activated:-)

Thanks for the wonderful information. You have mentioned very useful and profitable message about international SIM cards for those who travel Hong Kong. The best thing about international roaming is that it lowers your expenses on making calls in foreign destinations.

There are two types of SIM cards available in the market – pre-paid and post-paid. In 24 hours the person gets registered and can activate the SIM number for continuous usage. http://www.whatisall.com/technology/what-is-a-sim-card.html

A Roaming eSIM card is a physical SIM card that is embedded into a device that allows the device to connect to a cellular network while roaming. The card allows the device to connect to a cellular network in another country and provides the user with a data allowance that can be used while roaming.
