Panatang Makabayan Old Version

Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas.
Ito ang aking lupang sinilangan.
Ito ang tahanan ng aking lahi.
Ako'y kanyang kinukupkop at tinutulungan
Upang maging malakas, maligaya at kapakipakinabang.

Panatang Makabayan New Version By Raul Roco

WORLD BALANCE: Comfortable and Stylish

WORLD BALANCE: Comfortable and Stylish
In the world of footwear, World Balance is recognized as a brand known for its durability. This year, World Balance came up with stylish shoes to meet the demand not only for affordable and durable shoes but also shoes with style.
My brother and I share the same addiction as we are both shoe-a-holics! I so love the pairs of rubber shoes that World Balance sent to us. Upon seeing my pair of shoes above  (SPECTRAL - dark gray, aqua blue), my first impression is "Cool!"

Here is the top view picture of my pair of shoes:

Style

Cool because it is very stylish. The mesh design and color combination of dark gray, white, aqua blue, and purple really wowed me. The predominantly dark gray color with tints of aqua blue, and purple makes it easy for me to mix and match my shoes with my jeans, shorts or jogging pants.

I choose this pair of shoes with gray color because it won't show as much dirt compared to that with lighter color/s.

Comfort

Of course, shoes may look good but the real test would be how it feels to wear them.

On this criteria, my pair of shoes passed with flying colors.

My pair of shoes is lightweight and fits me well like a glove right out of the box. I use it whenever I exercise around our village. The cushion is just right! My walkathon trips became stress-free because even if I walk around our village several times the impact on my feet is lesser than usual.

Apparently, what makes my pair of rubber shoes extra comfortable is its breathable mesh design. The mesh allows air to pass through and circulate, making your feet feel comfortable and fresh while moving around with a great degree of intensity. It keeps my feet drier and cooler.

Durability/ Performance

Close examination of how my pair of shoes was built would show that the materials used are of good quality. The stitches appear sturdy to be able to withstand the various stresses they would be subjected to. The soles look durable and have good traction. I tested my pair of shoes on slippery surfaces and it did not disappoint. It really is a non-skid and non-slip pair of shoes.

Of course, time will tell if my pair of shoes will last but judging from the way it performs so far, it will be a constant companion for a long time.
The length of the shoelaces is just right for me to adjust on how tight I wanted my shoes to be.
My pair of rubber shoes has a fantastic grip which is perfect for walking, jogging and running.
Aside from the price which is very affordable (Php1,499), you get a bonus when you buy shoes of this brand because they look real good and stylish.
Comfort and style!

By buying this, I know you will get what you pay for and I definitely recommend this to everyone!

Who says owning a pair of rubber shoes needs to cost much?

Check out their website and facebook page too to see other designs available.

To the owner of cellphone # 09438204083 Bullying is uncool. If you want traffic for your site please make your entries beautiful that people would want to read it and not because you are bullying innocent people.

Dinosaur at the Mind Museum

Dinosaur at the Mind Museum

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Run for your life.....Here comes Stan, the life-sized skeleton cast of one of the largest and ferocious dinosaurs, the Tyrannosaurus rex (or simply T. rex), inside the Mind Museum! Ha ha ha ha!

Stan stands at twenty feet. The T. rex rises nearly to its full height to grapple the more fortunate hunter and dispute the prey.

It is named after the amateur fossil hunter Stan Sacrison who discovered the original fossils of the T. rex in South Dakota in 1987.

The original fossils are found inside the museum of Black Hills Institute (BHI) of Geological Research, Inc. in South Dakota along with 'Duffy,' which is another set of T. Rex fossils discovered by Sacrison in 1993.

And just in case you want to order a similar life-sized cast or replica of Stan, you can have it at only US$100,000.00 (!) from Black Hills Institute (BHI) of Geological Research, Inc. in South Dakota, U.S.A. Similar replicas of Stan are found in Manchester Museum in UK, Dinosphere at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science in Old Town Albuquerque, New Mexico, and many others.
Or you can just be contented with being awed by and posing with Stan at the Mind Museum located at J.Y. Campos Park, 3rd Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Philippines.

KASAMBAHAY LAW: Wages, Benefits, Penalties

KASAMBAHAY LAW: Wages, Benefits, Penalties

Attention Employers of Kasambahay or Household Service Workers (HSWs)!

Republic Act 10361, otherwise known as the Kasambahay Law, took effect last Tuesday, June 4, 2013. The new law entitles household service workers (HSWs) reasonable wages and benefits such as the following:
  • PhilHealth
  • Pag-Ibig
  • Social Security System (SSS) coverage.
The law mandates that household workers are entitled to receive at least P2,500 per month if they are employed within Metro Manila; P2,000 monthly salary in other cities and first-class municipalities; and P1,500 elsewhere in the Philippines.

HSWs includes the following:

  • general helpers
  • yayas
  • laundry persons or labandera
  • cooks
  • gardeners
  • Any other person who regularly performs domestic work in one household on an occupational basis
The following are not included:
  • Service providers (any person or  entity that carries an independent business and undertakes to perform job, work or service on his/ her own for a household, according to his/ her own manner or method, and free from the control and direction of the employer in all matters in connection with the performance of the work except as to the results thereof)
  • Family drivers
  • Children under foster family arrangement
  • Any other person who performs work occasionally or sporadically and not on an occupational basis
Copies of the Kasambahay law implementing rules and regulations (IRR) can be obtained from Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) regional offices and barangay LGU offices.

Under the law, contracts between HSWs and their respective employers (see sample contract  in the IRR) must be recorded with the office of the Punong Barangay of the place where the employer resides. That is why 3 copies of the employment contract must be signed. One for the employer, one for the Kasambahay and the third one is for the office of the Punong Barangay.

Yes, my dear. You also have to register (in the Registry of Kasambahay) your Kasambahay in the barangay where your residence is located

To start the ball rolling, the Punong Barangay, together with SSS, Pag-IBIG and Philhealth representatives, will conduct a common registration of all Kasambahay nationwide. The start-up registration will be held in a City or Municipal Hall or Plaza, organized by the City or Municipal Mayor immediately upon promulgation of the IRR.

Any violation of the Kasambahay Law provisions is punishable with a fine of not less than P10,000 but not more than P40,000 without prejudice to the filing of appropriate civil or criminal action by the aggrieved party.

Better be safe than sorry.

"Ignorance of the law excuses no one"
