Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg ties the knot

PALO ALTO, California — Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg updated his status to "married" on Saturday. Zuckerberg and 27-year-old Priscilla Chan tied the knot at a small ceremony at his Palo Alto, Calif., home, capping a busy week for the couple.

Zuckerberg took his company public in one of the most anticipated stock offerings in Wall Street history Friday. And Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, on Monday, the same day Zuckerberg turned 28.

The couple met at Harvard and have been together for more than nine years. A source authorized by the couple to speak said Zuckerberg designed the ring featuring "a very simple ruby." The ceremony took place in Zuckerberg's backyard before fewer than 100 guests, who all thought they were there to celebrate Chan's graduation.

Even after the IPO, Zuckerberg remains Facebook's single largest shareholder, with 503.6 million shares. And he controls the company with 56 percent of its voting stock.

The site, which was born in a dorm room eight years ago, has grown into a worldwide network of almost a billion people. Zuckerberg founded Facebook at Harvard in 2004. He was named as Time's Person of the Year in 2010, at age 26. Zuckerberg grew up in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.

CCTV Video of Filipina Rape Victim with the Panamanian Diplomat

A closed-circuit television Video of the Panamanian diplomat accused of raping a 19-year-old Filipina, and the alleged Filipina Rape Victim's CCTV video is making the rounds on the internet.
The CCTV was allegedly taken inside the Panamanian Makati apartment. The Panamanian Diplomat has denied the allegations in a press statement. Erick Shcks, a technical officer of the Panama Maritime Authority, said he engaged in sexual intercourse with the complainant "Pamela" (not her real name) last April 23 but stressed that the act was consensual. Shcks dispelled allegations that he drugged the Pinay teen and forced her to have sex with him.

Shcks left the country last May 11, 2012 and was declared persona non grata by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). Shcks’s departure drew the ire of Senators Loren Legarda and Vicente Sotto III, who believed that the Panamanian rape suspect should not have been allowed to go scot-free. The DOJ said that Schks may be tried for the alleged rape once the Panamanian government waives his diplomatic immunity.

BIO OF ERNEST CONCEPCION :

Ernest Concepcion was born in Manila, Philippines where he received his BFA then moved to the US in 2002. It was in the lonely town of Englewood, New Jersey where he began The Line Wars, a series of black and white drawings depicting opposing forces engaged in ridiculous battle based on the entertainments of childhood and adolescence. He moved to Brooklyn and participated in a number of art residencies including the LMCC Workspace Program, the Bronx Museum of Art Artists-in-the-Marketplace (AIM) program, the Artists Alliance Inc. Rotating Studio Program, the Lower East Side Printshop Keyholder Residency, the LMCC Swing Space Program at Governors Island and an artist residency in Beijing, China via NY Arts.

Through extensive studio time and experimentation, he eventually broke away from the formulaic style of the drawings and explored different approaches to conflict creating an entirely new series of works including painting, sculpture and installation. With a significant body of work, Concepcion was able to exhibit both here and abroad and has had four solo shows in the last two years. In 2011 he was both a New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) finalist in the Drawing Category and a Nominee for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant. Currently, he is a full-time artist making new works and a graphic novel based on the conflict-ridden planet of Ona to be released soon.

Hand Paraffin Treatment at Bioessence

I visited Bioessence not for a facial this time around but for a hand paraffin treatment. Bioessence offers this treatment for free to its valued clients and if you want a foot paraffin, you just have to pay Php 150.00.

Paraffin wax is a white or colorless wax made from petroleum byproducts. Paraffin is used primarily to make candles or as an ingredient in cosmetics and for creating waxed paper.

Bioessence used this machine to dissolve the paraffin wax to be used for my hand paraffin test errr treatment. Ha ha ha! Okay, that is a joke. I am such a lousy joker. Ha ha ha! Sorry po.
Shown above is the Bioessence attendant preparing the hand paraffin treatment. Paraffin wax is melted in a special warmer or double boiler until it becomes clear or translucent liquid.
The Bioessence attendant sprayed alcohol to each of my hands.

She then wiped it dry using a soft tissue
The Bioessence attendant then dipped my hands directly into the warmer. Another option is to pour the liquid wax into plastic bags and each hand is slipped into a bag of paraffin.

The hands are covered in the wax for several minutes.
Wrapped my hands into a plastic laminate.

I felt like a chicken. Ha ha ha! I used to sell roasted chicken as a sideline and I wrapped the chicken in a plastic laminate exactly like this plastic laminate in Bioessence.

The finished product.

I have two (2) hands, the left and the right.
After wrapping my hands in plastic laminate, they put my two hands inside these gloves.
Paraffin wax is said to retain heat, and this heat increases the skin's circulation and opens pores on the hands, allowing the lubricants in the wax to penetrate and soften the skin.

After 20 minutes, they then removed the gloves and the platic, then put my hands inside these booties.

By the way, I am not sure if it is really called booties. The attendant told me that it is how they call this white thingy.

She said this electric glove-like machine will keep your hands softer than ever before and your "pasma" will be cured. Awww! Amazing, isn't it. She further explained that the heat provided by melted paraffin wax is absorbed by the skin and tissue on which it is placed, making it beneficial for people suffering from arthritis or other joint or muscle pain.

WARNING: DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME KIDS!

Why am I saying that? It is because paraffin comes from petroleum products, people with chemical sensitivities may suffer side effects from paraffin wax. If you're going to try this at home take extra precautions and keep out of reach of children to avoid serious burns.
A visit at Bioessence always makes me feel pampered. The staff and the atmosphere at Bioessence wrap me in calm comfort and wash away my stress. It is a place that gives me solace. How I wish Bioessence will let us try this room. I have not personally tried this yet but they told us you could rent this room for Php1,800 plus the various services that you'll avail like massage, bubble bath, facial etc.

Welcome
