ARA MINA FILED LIBEL AND COERCION CHARGES AGAINST CHRISTINE REYES
Following an alleged dispute over the remaining balance for a house they bought for their mother, actress Ara Mina filed charges of libel and grave coercion against younger sister Cristine Reyes not to claim money but to “teach her a lesson” for her attitude.
Mina was emotional in a press interview on Wednesday where she bared her complaint against Reyes for libel and grave coercion, which was filed at the Quezon City fiscal's office. According to Mina’s lawyer, Reyes allegedly asked her older sister to turn over Mina’s SUV as payment for the remaining balance for a property. If not, Reyes allegedly threatened that she will continue her personal attacks against her sister.
Mina said she tried to reach out to Reyes to iron things out but to no avail. “Hanggang makakapag-pasensya, magpa-pasensya ako. Punung-puno na ako eh, hindi ko na kaya, kasi kung anu-ano na ang sinasabi niya. Kailangan ko lang gawin ‘to kasi ayaw niya makipag-usap. Para maturuan siya ng leksyon, kasi hindi na tama ‘yung ginagawa niya,” Mina said. Reyes has been attacking her through text messages since she tried to resolve matters, Mina claimed.
"Kung ayaw niyo manggulo ako sa buhay niyo, bayaran utang niyo sa akin. Kung wala kayo pangbayad, ibigay niyo hinihingi ko,” Reyes allegedly said in one text message to Mina.
"I'm sure ibebenta mo ‘yang laspag mong katawan na pinagsawaan na ng lahat. Daig pa aso sa sobrang kati,” Reyes allegedly said in another.
“Nag-start lang nung sinabi ko na mag-usap tayo kasi marami akong naririnig na sinasabi mo," Mina said. "Tapos nag-freak out na siya. ‘Wag na raw ako mag-text kung wala akong magandang sasabihin. “Tapos tuluy-tuloy na, hindi ko siya sinasagot. Buong Holy Week, hindi niya ako tinantanan. Hanggang ngayon nagte-text siya sa sister-in-law ko. Pati ibang tao dinadamay na niya,” Mina added.
Reyes’s alleged anger stemmed from a disagreement on the payment for a house they bought for their mother, Mina said. But she added that this is not the “main factor” that pushed her to bring their dispute to court.
Mina asserted that she is only suing her sister because of her attitude. “Pinag-pasensyahan ko na ‘yung ibang ginawa niya before, pero this time marami na po siyang dinamay na tao. Naghihintay ako na, ‘Ate, sorry kung may mga nasabi ako,’ pero wala. Parang wala na siyang sinasanto,” Mina said.
Mina added that she was pushed to sue Reyes when she felt her dignity as a sister and as a person was stepped upon from the alleged threats. “Wala akong sinisingil.
According to Reyes’s manager Veronique del Rosario, their camp will wait for a copy of the complaint before issuing a statement.

ANNE CURTIS RIDES THE MRT
Yesterday, Tuesday, April 17, 2012, TV host and actress Anne Curtis was in a hurry to catch the live telecast of “It’s Showtime” that she decided to take the MRT again. This was her third time to take the said public transportation.
Some photos of Anne while inside the MRT. Anne Curtis happily pose with fellow passengers. She also seated with fellow passengers.
The first time Anne rode the MRT was on July 5, 2011. The actress was then rushing to watch the concert of Kylie Minogue at the Araneta Coliseum. Coming from the airport and stuck in traffic, she felt she would not be able to catch up with the concert if she stayed in the car.
Immediately, Anne tweeted her first MRT experience, asking her followers on Twitter: “Hulaan nyo kung nasaan ako para makahabol kay #Kylie? :p,"
The message came with her photo that was taken inside MRT.
Then she posted a series of tweets.
“I'm in the girls area! They're all nice! Swerte daw ako at hindi masyado siksikan! :)”
“Don't worry guys! I'm with my angel Maryann! And mababait lahat ng girls! D magulo! Picture picture taking lang at chikahan!”
“I like the fact that there's a ladies and men's section! Thumbs up!”
In the end, Anne felt she made the right move.
“I can see the traffic on Edsa from here! I made the right decision! :),” she said.
On August 2, 2011, Anne again rode an MRT, this time to avoid tremendous traffic jam as typhoon Kabayan was wreaking havoc in Manila. She was then with her younger sister Jasmine Curtis Smith. She was trying to beat time as she would be late for her hosting stint on “Showtime.”
Excitedly, Anne tweeted about her second MRT experience.
“MRT take 2 with @jascurtissmith! We're near na!!!! Showtime wait for us!!!”
This was followed by another tweet, “I think I should be the ambassador for public transportation na! Haha. I love how fast the MRT is! Can you get a card for it na pwede mag-load? Like an oyster or myki card?”
The actress lauded her younger sister’s attitude in riding a public transit.
RUFFA GUTIERREZ, GABBY CONCEPCION AND POKWANG TOPBILLS THE MOMMY RETURNS
How far would you fight for your family? Beyond the grave? Betrayal can be a hard thing to swallow. Being betrayed by the very person you call your husband is something you will take to the grave. And that's exactly what Pokwang's character does after her life crashes to a halt and re-marry right after Pokwang's character in the movie died.
“The Mommy Returns” is a special Mother’s Day movie offering by regal Films which is set to be released on May 9. Starring Ruffa Gutierrez, Pokwang and Gabby Concepcion with Gloria Diaz, Ervic Vijandre, Kiray Celis, Gerald Pesigan, and Jillian Ward.
“THE MOMMY RETURNS” is a family comedy-horror movie about a mother, Ruby (POKWANG), who dies right on the day of her 25th wedding anniversary with gorgeous husband, William (GABBY CONCEPCION). With her untimely death, she is temporarily trapped in PURGA (short for Purgatory) with its guardian, Dyoga (JOHN LAPUS, ang diyosa ng purga) and the pesky Manny, the chicken pet of San Pedro.
Enter CATHERINE (RUFFA GUTTIEREZ) – a younger, fresher, and much, much prettier woman who comes into the life of William. When she threatens to take Ruby’s place as mother to her three beloved children (KIRAY, GERALD PESIGAN and JILLIAN WARD), purgatory breaks loose as Ruby escapes back to earth as a ghost to scare and drive Catherine out of the family she left behind!
What follows is a riot of scary antics and tactics that will prove that “hell hath no fury like a dead woman,” especially if she is a mother who can’t leave her children behind!
This year’s Regal Films’ laugh-til-you-cry Mother’s Day offering is directed by JOEL LAMANGAN from a screenplay by Senedy H. Que. It opens nationwide on May 9, 2012.

Binibining Pilipinas 2012 Winners
Congratulations to the new set of Binibining Pilipinas winners who will represent the country in different international beauty contests abroad. Binibining Pilipinas coronation night was held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Sunday, April 15, 2012.
Janine Tugonon (No. 18) bested 29 other candidates and was hailed as the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2012. She will be representing the country in this year's Ms. Universe contest in Florida, USA. Janine Tugonon is a Pharmacy graduate of University Sto.Tomas and works as a clinical specialist.

Her winning answer reflected her belief as a modern Filipina.
“I believe women have the right to choose between what they want. Just go for what God wants you to do. Between the two, whatever it is, you must do your purpose in this world. Just have a child-like faith and mature obedience, and everything will go smooth,” Janine said in the question and answer portion when asked about women foregoing a happy family life for a successful career.

Pimples, zits, break outs, blemishes -- whatever you want to call it, is what I hated the most!
One of the biggest bummers that comes with the changing seasons is breakouts. The switch in temperature and humidity can cause pimples. Stress, lack of sleep and a whole lists of other environmental and genetic factors can add to the blemish count, yes, even for those of us who are well out of our teens. Now that it is summer again and the weather is so hot and humid, I don't wonder If you're sick of pimples. Then maybe you could give this a try-- the 30-day Proactiv treatments, scrubs and cleansers that will help zap those zits and give you clear, radiant skin. Bye-bye breakouts!
While on extended vacation, I bought a 5-gallon purified water from the local refilling station in our town and I couldn't help but notice the pimples on the face of the one manning the water refilling station. He is actually the son of the owner. O ha, you might think, I just stormed in there and told him point blankly, he he, they're a family friend for so many years. I told him to try Proactiv so he will be pimple free in no time. I sited 5 unique reasons why Proactiv is different from other products:
1. One of the main ingredients in Proactiv Revitalizing Toner is witch hazel, which acts as an antioxidant.
2. Proactiv was not tested on animals.
3. Quick, easy, and not messy. Proactiv is only a 3 steps beauty regimen.
4. Proactiv® Solution also offers Clear Skin Guarantee and Money Back Guarantee for their 30 day kit and 60 day kit. What other products can give you a money back guarantee?- Purchasing a kit (30-day or 60-day) now will get you a chance to own a Justin Beiber’s Limited Edition perfume “Someday”
