EASY SOLUTION TO MAKE THE MISSING WIDGETS APPEAR

As bloggers, we do blog walking once in a while. Sometimes we even exchange G+, FB Likes, Tweets etc. but some of the blogs that we visited have templates that don't show the G+, FB like, twitter widgets. Worry no more! There's a very easy solution on how to make them appear.

If the blog has heavy images, or does not show the widgets you can simply do this:

  • Press Control  -  ( Ctrl -) to make the blog smaller
What I do if the blog has heavy images and doesn't load fast: I keep on pressing ctfl - until everything appears, I then press
  • Press Control +  ( Ctrl+) to make the blog bigger
When you zoom out the blog post the widgets load more easily.  No need for you to refresh the page over and over again.

After the widget appears you can now zoom in the blog post so you can click on the widget.

Try this! Happy Blogging! I hope I was able to help.

CHICKEN DELI

CHICKEN DELI
CHICKEN DELI
David invited www.yummy-tales.blogspot.com and I to try Chicken Deli in SM North Edsa Annex, Quezon City for Alodia's birthday bash.

It is kind of "bitin" for me and Php97.00 cost higher than Jollibee's Php75 price tag for one (1) piece Fried chicken.

You could try Chicken Deli's chicken inasal meal for Php 97.00.

Pop na pop for the lasa but bitin for the portion that they served us. It is so small I don't know if they have a bigger size. I hope they improve their portion size.

Verdict: 2 fingers

Chicken Deli is located at the 3rd floor of SM City North Edsa Annex. The place is spacious. I particularly like the ceiling lights.

Derek Ramsay moving to TV5

Oh la la! My favorite actor Derek Ramsay is indeed moving to TV5 according to Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications. Bong confirmed that Derek Ramsay has decided to transfer to TV5.

It is said that TV5 offered Derek Ramsay an amount that was difficult for him to refuse. For months, ABS-CBN has exerted efforts to make him stay as a Kapamilya.

Derek Ramsay’s contract with ABS-CBN expired at the end of February 2012.

Just two weeks ago, Ramsay confirmed that ABS-CBN offered to renew his contract as a Kapamilya. “Nakita na namin ‘yung offer. I think they’re exchanging e-mails now. My parents, my dad just sent an e-mail to Sir Gabby (Lopez), and nag-uusap usap na,” Ramsay said at that time. “Yung mga little details, sila nag-aayos eh, so I’m just waiting for that phone call na.”

Speculations about Ramsay’s transfer to TV5 have been reported in media for months, and the actor repeatedly denied that money is behind his decision to switch networks.

Ramsay is the latest ABS-CBN star to move to the No. 3 network. Last year, actress-singer Sharon Cuneta announced her transfer to the Manuel Pangilinan-led media company after signing a reported P1-billion contract for five years. Other ABS-CBN celebrities who have moved to TV5 include Willie Revillame, Mariel Rodriguez and Aga Muhlach.

Stars who have opted to stay and renew their contracts with ABS-CBN include Anne Curtis, Cristine Reyes and Toni Gonzaga. ABS-CBN was also able to sign-up stars from other networks, including Iza Calzado, Janice de Belen, Richard Gomez and Carmina Villaroel.

Still with Star Cinema?

Ramsay’s transfer to TV5 was first reported by columnist Shirley Matias-Pizarro and published at the Manila Bulletin on Sunday.

Quoting unnamed sources, Pizarro said Ramsay will maintain his contract with Star Cinema to do movies this year and the next, although ABS-CBN's statement did not mention this.

Ramsay’s latest movie, the digital film “Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang,” was a surprise hit and is now on its third week of theatrical release. He also starred in two of the biggest movies last year – “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin” with Vice Ganda and “No Other Woman” with Anne Curtis and Cristine Reyes. Ramsay joined the Star Magic concert in Hawaii last Saturday.

Break in Australia

On Monday, Ramsay said on his official Twitter account that he is taking a one-week break in Australia. “Be safe, babe! Gonna miss you,” he told girlfriend, ABS-CBN actress Angelica Panganiban, via Twitter.

As of posting, Ramsay has not mentioned anything about his transfer to TV5 on his Twitter account.

PHD BOY!

A first-grade teacher, Ms Neelam (Age 28), was having trouble with one of her students. The teacher asked, "Boy what is your problem?"

Boy answered, "I'm too smart for the first-grade. My sister is in the third-grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the third-grade too!"

Ms Neelam had enough. She took Boy to the Principal's office. The principal told Ms. Neelam he would give the boy a test and if he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the first-grade and behave. She agreed.

Boy was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test:

Principal: "What is 3x3?"

Boy: "9"

Principal: "What is 6x6?"

Boy: "36"

And so it went with every question the principal thought a third-grade should know. The principal looks at Ms Neelam and tells her, "I think the boy can go to the third-grade."

Ms Neelam says to the principal, "I have some of my own questions. Can I ask him?" The principal and Boy both agree.

Ms Neelam asks: "What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?

Boy, after a moment: "Legs"!

Ms Neelam: "What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?"

Boy: "Pockets"!

Ms Neelam: "What starts with a C and ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin whitish liquid?"

Boy: Coconut

Ms Neelam: " What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?" The Principal's eyes open really wide and before he could stop the answer, Boy quickly answered..

Boy: Bubblegum

Ms Neelam: "What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?" The Principal's eyes again open really wide and before he could stop the answer....

Boy: Shake hands

Ms Neelam: "Now I will ask some "Who am I" sort of questions, okay?"

Boy: "Yep"

Ms Neelam: "You stick Your poles inside me. You tie me down to get me up.. I get wet before you do."

Boy: "Tent"

Ms Neelam: "A finger goes in me. You fiddle with me when you're bored. The best man always has me first."The Principal was looking restless, a bit tense and took one large Patiala Vodka peg.

Boy: "Wedding Ring"

Ms Neelam: "I come in many sizes. When I'm not well, I drip. When you blow me, you feel good."

Boy: "Nose"

Ms Neelam: "I have a stiff shaft. My tip penetrates. I come with a quiver."

Boy: "Arrow"

Ms Neelam: "What word starts with a 'F' and ends in 'K' that means lot of heat and excitement?"

Boy: "Firetruck"

Ms Neelam: "What word starts with a 'F' and ends in 'K' & if u don't get it u have to use your hand"

Boy: "Fork"

Ms Neelam: "What is it that all men have. It's longer for some men than on others. The nuns dont need it. The pope doesn't use his and a man gives it to his wife after they're married?"

Boy: "SURNAME"

Ms Neelam: "What part of the man has no bone but has muscles, has lots of veins, like pumping, & is responsible for making
love?"

Boy: "HEART"

The principal breathed a sigh of relief and said to the teacher: "Send this Boy to University, I got the last ten questions wrong myself!"

Symptoms and signs of heart attack

My Mama and Papa died of heart attack. Heart Attack is the leading cause of death and disability for both men and women not only in the Philippines but globally. Heart disease isn't contagious. You can't catch it like you can the flu or a cold. Instead, certain things increase a person's chances of getting cardiovascular disease. Doctors call these things risk factors.

Some of these risk factors a person can't do anything about, like being older and having other people in the family who have had the same problems. But people do have control over some risk factors like:
  •  smoking
  •  having high blood pressure
  •  being overweight
  •  and not exercising can increase the risk of getting cardiovascular disease.
.
Symptoms and signs of heart attack may include the following:
  • Chest pain or discomfort that is crushing, like a heavy weight; or squeezing, like a tight band around the chest; or an ache in the centre of the chest. The pain may radiate to the neck, jaw, shoulders, arms (especially the left arm), back, abdomen, face or teeth. The pain is persistent (longer than 15 minutes), and does not ease with rest. The pain is sometimes mistaken for indigestion. Note that in some cases, heart attacks are painless.
  • Profuse sweating
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Feeling dizzy or light-headed
  • Nausea
  • Pale, clammy skin
  • The pulse may be fast or irregular.
  • The person may suddenly collapse and lose consciousness
First aid for heart attack:

  • Encourage the person to sit still, with knees bent to ease strain on the heart.
  • Talk to him calmly and reassuringly, and loosen any tight clothing.
  • Monitor any changes in condition.
  • The person should take one aspirin with water (Unless he is allergic to or unable to take aspirin). Aspirin helps to prevent blood clotting

MMDA Announces Week-long Suspension of Number Coding

MMDA Announces Week-long Suspension of Number Coding

Tthe MMDA announced that the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP), commonly known as the number coding system, is lifted from April 2 (Monday) to April 9., 2012 (Monday), except in the Republic of MAKATI where the number coding system will be lifted only from April 5 (Holy Thursday) to April 9, 2012 (Monday).

While the number coding system is in effect in the Republic of Makati, motorists may pass Makati through EDSA and President Osmena Ave. but not the internal roads of Makati.

MMDA said the lifting of the coding ban would promote fast and efficient travel to and from Metropolitan Manila.

This is a good news to fellow travelers who will be going home to their respected provinces. At least you and I, fellow travelers, will not worry anymore about the number coding (except for those who will travel to Makati).

I wish everyone a safe travel. May God Bless us always!

Bon Chon Restaurant

Bon Chon Restaurant
Bon Chon Restaurant Twice Fried Chicken
Bon Chon Restaurant is the newest addition to the Korean Twice Fried chicken craze
Bon Chon Restaurant, Twice Fried Chicken
Everyone is talking about this new chicken restaurant in town!  Please note that this review is base on our own experience.  We paid for our own meals with our own money.
Bon Chon Restaurant
It seems to me that people can't get enough of this chicken that they go to this restaurant and even have them delivered straight to their offices and homes almost everyday. Imagine that!

The dinner crowd at Bon Chon Restaurant.
Bon Chon Restaurant
I overheard these guys that they were invited by the PR to do a review. After eating, they were given tokens and umbrella by the lady in white.
Bon Chon Restaurant
Bon Chon or “New Village” is a Korean restaurant which traces its roots in South Korea. It conquered the United States and had most food critiques craving for the spicy chicken wings glazed in soy-garlic. The now famed chicken is crunchy in the outside while maintaining the juicy meat inside.
Bon Chon Restaurant
So after an event at Ayala Triangle Square I asked www.yummy-tales.blogspot.com to accompany me to Bon Chon restaurant so I can eat the famous Bon Chon chicken. Unfortunately, the lady in the counter convinced me to try the fish n' chips instead. Bad choice:-(
Whoaaaaa! The lady manning the counter said that their bestseller was the spicy fish n'chips. I am a Bicolana but the fish n'chips is way too spicy for me. I wanted to crack my knuckles for listening to her and not my instinct to buy the chicken wings instead:-(.
Verdict: It is a thumbs down for the spicy fish n'chips. I had to take it home because I can't barely eat the too spicy fish n'chips. I better get smart and follow my instinct next time around and order the chicken instead. Two fingers.
Bon Chon Restaurant should improve their dish.

We will try their chicken next time.

Wilma Doesnt Topless in Playboy Magazine

"What else is new?" Mariposa quips when I told her that comedian and Mariposa's all-time favorite pinoy supermodel Wilma Doesnt  is the cover girl of Playboy Magazine April 2012 fourth year anniversary issue.
Yes, folks! Wilma Doesnt undressed for the cover of Playboy Magazine Philippines this April 2012 entitled "Embracing All Colors".
For me parang nakakasawa na lahat na lang nag to top less. Summer nga panay ulan naman bakit kaya panay topless sila sa magazine? Hays, please don't emulate this people.
In 2003 Raymond Isaac launched a photo exhibit of his famous works one of which was a photograph of a naked and pregnant Wilma Doesnt.
Then she appeared again in Preview Magazine in 2007 again in all her pregnant glory.

To my readers please be guided accordingly. Don't emulate everything that they do.
