YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
All these disasters that have befallen us must have shown us by now that the environment is as vital to us as the air we breathe.

We might as well not have air if we do not have trees.
All these cataclysms that have visited the Philippines must have taught us by now that protecting the environment is not a matter of choice, or preference, it is a matter of necessity. A matter of life and death.

Take actions now before its too late.
Illegal mining played a part in the recent catastrophe. But that was nothing compared to the deforestation of the watersheds in Lanao del Norte and Bukidnon, which feed into the major rivers of Mindanao. Without trees to absorb the water and prevent soil erosion, the waters came tearing down into Cagayan de Oro like an avalanche.

The flash flood brought death and destruction to CDO, Iligan and Dumaguete in Mindananao and other locations in Vizayas. The sight of dead people are almost everywhere. We are more and more becoming used to the sight of dead women and children in the tabloids, news, and internet.

We are more and more becoming numb to the horrible effects of mining and illegal logging.

The idea of behavior having repercussions or consequences is not unique to Christianity.
The whole of karma in Hinduism is intrinsically linked to the concept of “you reap what you sow.”

“Buy now, pay forever.”

Some would suggest that ultimately, someone pays a price for bad behavior and benefits from the good, but the individual is not always the payee or the receiver.

Determining the precise and long reaching effect of a single action may be difficult to do without a time machine.

In all, the idea "you reap what you sow" can be simplified to suggest that actions will have consequences.
They don’t necessarily have immediate consequences. But it's the beginning. We have to start somewhere. It’s an idea that can be taken philosophically, religiously or scientifically, or it may just apply to encouraging good behavior today so that hopefully tomorrow such behavior may influence the person or the world in a positive way.

I hope the government will have more aggressive programs to encourage planting of trees and take drastic action against illegal mining and illegal logging so as to protect the environment.

May all the illegal loggers and illegal mining firms in the Philippines  be afraid of Karma. Stop being greedy!

Kaswapangan mo buhay ang kapalit! Sana makonsensya kayo! Nagpapasasa kayo sa pera mula sa maling pagpuputol ng kahoy para magkaroon kayo ng maalwang buhay  at ano ang kapalit? Maraming inosenteng buhay!

HOW DO YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART?

ERAP when asked what advise could he give KC Concepcion and Piolo Pacscual?

Wag kayong mag alala darating din ang tamang lalaki sa inyo.

lol.

I know. This is a classic ERAP joke.  O di ba darating din daw ang tamang lalaki both for kc and Piolo so there is no need for them to worry:-) wink wink! lmao!

Moving on....How do you really mend a broken heart?

Sa mga tibag tibag ang puso sa panahon ng kapaskuhan here is an excerpt from MONS ROMULO-TANTOCO'S article:

Don’t let love drive your whole life. That’s why God placed our brain on the top, to use it first before our heart! — Author Unknown

Going through heartbreak is not easy but getting out of it can be if we use our heads. I should know this because I just successfully survived one!

It’s just a matter of accepting that it is happening to you, lots of prayers and realizing that there is so much more in store for you if you let go.

Everything happens for a reason. I gave myself a time frame — time to grieve and time to move on — re-channeled my energies in doing more productive and positive activities and let events unfold as they should. It’s not that easy but it can be done and as you move on you will just look back at this chapter in your life and smile.
Mons Romulo Tantoco is the daughter of the former DFA Secretary Alberto Romulo, a columnist of Philstar, wife of Sander Tantoco, she was in the gossip columns for weeks when she filed an annullment of her marriage to Sander Tantoco. She learned that her husband had been seeing her friend, Cita Revilla- Yabut. She was broken-hearted. For Valentine, she wrote the article How To mend a Broken Heart which was a collection of thoughts of other celebrities and personalities.

How do you really mend a broken heart? I could not offer you an answer right now. I am still young:-) Young carabao:-)  on the brink of geezerhood ha ha ha! May dementia na pala ha ha ha! Besides, kinakain ko ang puso. Puso ng saging. Ginugulay namin. Hinihiwa siya ng maliliit, pinipiga ang katas at niluluto sa gata. Minsan kapag panahon ng Holy week ginagawa ko siyang anting-anting:-)

COME TO THE AIRPORT EARLY IF YOU ARE FLYING OUT

From Morning

 'til night
If you have a scheduled flight to any International or local destinations you need to be early.

Why? Because of too much traffic nowadays!

There were three peak-hour windows when traffic to the airport gets really bad. These are from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m., from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and from 10 p.m. to midnight.

It is better for you to wait in the airport. Than to be all rattled and stressed trying to reach the terminal on time.

NINOY AQUINO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (NAIA) Management advised travelers to come to the airport early because of the Christmas rush traffic.

Travelers need to be at their terminals at least three (3) hours before their scheduled flights.

If your motto is better late than never then change it, now na! Because the plane won't wait for you! Except if you own the plane!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO KHAE NAGUIT FOR THE WONDERFUL PHOTOS. AND ALSO TO HER MODELS KIM AND AILEEN MISS YOU GIRLS!

SHAN CRUZ RIVERA BPO SCANDAL

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. In the Philippines, it is an emerging industry.

BPO controlled $9 billion in 2010 contributing 5% of GDP.  At present, there are now more than 600,000 staff employed in the BPO sector, and the figures are estimated to go even higher in the coming months.

Unfortunately there are just some customer service representatives who don't take their job seriously.

Based on the video, he’s playing the security question of the client which is a serious offense according to some call center agents.

Here are some of the negative comments of this video:

“THIS IS ILLEGAL. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO RECORD VIDEOS AND RECORD VOICE CALLS AND POST IT IN ANY SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE. CALLS ARE RECORDED FOR QUALITY AND FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY. THIS ACT IS TERMINABLE. YUNG MGA HINDI NAGWOWORK SA CALL CENTER AY HINDI SIGURO NAKAKATINDI NA EVERY AGENT SIGNED A NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENTS. IF UMABOT ITO SA CLIENTS FOR SURE MAG PUPULL OUT YUN ACCOUNT. AND PAG NAGSIMULANG MAG PULL OUT ANG ISA MAGSUSUNURAN NA YAN.” —

BAWAL MAG SHOOT DITO SABI NG SM MANAGER

We went to SM and dined at Kenny Rogers tonight. Then we decided to pose for a souvenir picture @ the malls Christmas display. But the lights went off.

Being a camera whore, with lights or no lights.  No one could deter me from taking pictures. I guess camera whore out there know what I mean.

Suddenly a security guard approached  and asked me where am I going to use the pictures. I smiled and asked him why? He mumbled something incoherent. So I went on taking pictures.

Then the SM Manager approached me this time. He said what is my purpose in taking those pictures. I said I just love taking pictures. He said bawal mag take ng pictures. Ha? I then asked him why? He said : "Because may Intellectual rights kami, baka kopyahin mo" Ha? Ano daw?

Natawa ako. Sabi ko: "There is nothing amazing here! Saan ko kokopyahin ang design? Sa bahay namin?"

Hello sino sa inyo ang gusto ng design ng SM sa bahay nila?

I guess the manager is over-reacting.

MANNY PACQUIAO LOVE CHILD: JOANNA BACOSA PLEADS PACQUIAO TO LET CHILD CA...

MANNY PACQUIAO'S LOVE CHILD

Joanna Rose Bacosa re-exposes her claim of having a child with Manny Pacquiao.

In Joanna’s claim, she and Manny have had a relationship back in 2003. Joanna recounted how they met and eventually hooked up.

Joanna said that it all started when she met Manny Pacquiao in 2003. Manny Pacquiao is a regular customer@ City Square in Pan Pacific and Joanna worked as waitress and “spotter” in 2003 at Pan Pacific Hotel’s billiard hall.

Despite of knowing that Manny is already married man, she still continued and agreed to have an intimate relationship with the boxing champ. According to her, it’s because of Manny’s generosity and sweetness that makes her fall.

When Joanna got pregnant in May 2003. Manny asked her to stop from working and moved to another house to evade gossip.

The alleged son of Manny from Joanna was born in January 2, 2004 and baptized on November 6, 2005 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish in Cubao, Quezon City.

In the baptismal certificate of the child, Manny’s name was written as father while “professional boxer” as profession.

Joanna said that the last time she, Manny and their child were together was in November 2005 in a hotel in Cebu City.

After being together in Cebu, Joanna and her child never had a chance again to be together with the Manny until she decided to file for a complaint to ask support to his child from Manny.

According to Joanna, when she filed a complaint and asked for financial support in 2006, Pacquiao’s camp offered her an amount of 500,000 pesos and 10,000 pesos monthly support provided that she will not file any criminal or civil case against the Saranggani Congressman, Manny Pacquiao.

Moreover, Joanna was asked to signed a paper stating that she will not be filing the complaint again.

Joanna showed documents of her son’s birth and baptismal certificate as proof that Pacquiao is indeed the father of her son.

She also showed photographs taken in Cebu City to prove that her relationship with Manny was indeed true.

Pacquiao provided financial support for their child. Allowance aside, Joanna was also asking Manny Pacquiao to recognize their child.
“Gusto ko pong masabi sa anak ko na pagdating po ng panahon, makita rin ng anak ko na ipinaglaban din siya ng mommy niya para po kilalanin ng ama niya na si Manny Pacquiao.”

THE CHANGE THAT I WANT IN 2012

The change that I want for 2012 is for government to provide motorcycle and biking lanes in Metro Manila just like in China.

When I went to China last year,  I was amazed how the Chinese has the freedom to go wherever they want to go safely.

Maybe you heard how many hundreds of motorists died in accidents in Metro Manila alone just because of the lack of proper lanes for two-wheeled vehicles. Almost always said vehicles are sideswiped by large four-wheeled vehicles.
My new found Chinese friend even rented a bike to roam around in Hangzhou (Eastern China). She is from Sichuan province (Southwest part of China) and it is also her first time to visit Hangzhou, China. Have I not scheduled my flight to Shanghai, I would also have rented a motor bike or a bike too.
In Ayutthaya, Thailand, my brother and I had fun biking around to the different sites. Together with other foreigners, we rode our bikes the whole day. It is a better medium of transportation. I hate tuk-tuks (auto rickshaws). I think some tuktuk drivers are part of a syndicate and always overcharge tourists.

How about you? What change do you want for 2012?

Malacanan Answered for Pnoy about the PSG Party

Malacanan said that even if the president was at the party,  the President made sure all rescue and humanitarian efforts were in place.

Malacanan said the PSG party have already been earlier scheduled and the party was already paid for so it was impractical to cancel it.

The backlash is understandable. But let us be reminded that agencies are still doing their jobs.

Malacanan said the President has also canceled the Christmas party for Cabinet members initially set Monday night and the funds will instead be sent for relief efforts.

He noted that members of the Cabinet will also be donating money from their own pockets.

Aquino is set to visit typhoon-hit areas on Tuesday.

Media reported that over 650 people have been confirmed dead while 800 are still missing in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro and in other areas in Southern and Central Mindanao, as "Sendong'  whipped the areas Saturday night.

VALERIE CONCEPCION TWEETED THAT PNOY WAS PARTYING LAST SUNDAY

President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III was apparently "partying" with members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) amid the "Sendong" international name “Washi” disaster which has so far left over 600 people dead an actress accidentally revealed on her twitter account.

Tweet of Valerie Concepcion Screen Captured by CS
Valerie Concepcion tweeted Sunday night that she was at the Palace and was set to perform three songs for the PSG party.

She also said in her Twitter account that Aquino laughed at her jokes and enjoyed her performance, but this tweet had been deleted after she and the President received a backlash.

Concepcion apologized for  her earlier tweets.

She clarified that she was invited to perform at the PSG party but she does not see anything wrong with Aquino dropping by the event.

"I do not see anything wrong with that since its his obligation and responsibility being the head of Malacañang to be present and show his support for his hardworking employees and their respective families. But I believe that it doesn't mean that the president is not thinking of ways to help our kababayans in Mindanao. It doesn't mean that the president is disregarding the plight of our fellow Filipinos. Let's not be too quick to judge," the actress said.

Concepcion also issued an apology if she "offended" people and "sounded insensitive."

"I am very sorry. It wasn't my intention to do either. I can't imagine how difficult life is for the people affected in Mindanao and how difficult it is to be the president of the Philippines at this moment," she said.

BORN IN THE EYE OF THE STORM

Born in Bicol Region, I grew up amid typhoons and floods. Literally.

I thought it was a common occurrence and part of life everywhere. A year will not pass by without a typhoon or flood.

But I learned I am wrong when I went to Lake Sebu and Polomolok in Mindanao in 2010.

The good people I met there told me that they never experienced flood or typhoon. I thought they were joking.  I told them they were so lucky because I grew up seeing floods, typhoons and devastated crops and shall I say dead people?

I remember my mom giving away sacks and sacks of rice and old clothes to our neighbors, relatives and friends right after every disaster even though our own home was flooded too.

Growing up, I and my cousins would look forward walking in our flooded barangay in Cam Sur so we could play. But almost always my mom won't even let me go downstairs.

While she distributed food, rice and old clothes to our ka-baranggay I would be sitting on the steps of the stairs and wait for the floodwater to subside so I could join her.

In 2006 my mom died:( Then another typhoon struck our region. Thousands of people became homeless and died.

The classmate of my niece age 16 years old from Oas, Albay died of drowning because the landlady in their boarding house in Legazpi City thinking about the safety of her boarders in the eye of the storm, padlocked the gate of the boarding house and went home.

That particular error in judgement claimed all the lives of  six young and vibrant students who were all trapped inside the boarding house when the flood went up to the roof.

My niece who also lived in a dormitory in Legazpi City was so lucky because her dormitory has a second floor. She said the flood was just a step away from the second floor.

Since my niece and the other boarders could not go out to buy food, they stayed together in one room at the second floor. She said she remember the wind to be so strong that the roof was almost blown away. That's why all their things got wet.

They tore the pages of their notebook and cooked a few packs of instant noodles they had on stock using a mug.  They shared one pack among eight of them.

They waited for somebody to rescue them.  But nobody came. When they ran out of food and all their clothes were wet, they decided to walk home from Legazpi to our place which is a good one hour away by car.

She said that after walking for an hour from her boarding house in Legazpi to Daraga, they were able to board a jeepney to Guinobatan where they transferred to another jeepney because some portions of the road in Guinobatan were littered with dead people who were victims of flashfloods.

BTW, she survived the ordeal. Shocked as she is she slowly got over it through the years.

Please help Mindanao by donating either money or your labor of love to repack goods to be distributed to our kababayan in Mindanao.
